My wife and I finally had a chance to stop in here as it was one of the few restaurants in downtown Westmont we hadnt tried yet. We were able to get seating pretty quickly and the server was friendly. We started off strong with the Beef Carpaccio and a rose to split. Feeling a bit of seafood I ordered the Whitefish and she ordered the Seared Scallops. Both were good, but for the prices we were paying I think we were expecting a bit better. A good spot for a date night but prices and flavor wouldnt have us be regulars here. Parking is pretty easy depending on the time of day due to the side lot which is just south of the building which you access from going east just north of the tracks.

I was so excited to try this restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and was seated right away. Tried to order Stoli vodka. NO STOLI! I have never heard of such a thing. Ordered the scallops to share for an appetizer. Waiter tells us we may only get one maybe two. We got two, they were good. Wedge salad was good. We ordered white fish and salmon. White fish was tasty, but salmon was raw. Sent it back. They cooked us another one. by the time I got the salmon (which was raw again) my dining partner was finished with dinner. Very noisy! could not hold a conversation. Quite expensive and no Stoli.

We recently celebrated our anniversary by dining at Amber for the first time, and it was the best dinner weve had in a long, long time. The crab cake was superb, and the rack of lamb and hanger steak were both absolutely spectacular. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was just right for a special night out together, and the service was excellent. In our opinion, Amber matches or beats anything you will find in downtown Chicago. We look forward to dining there again!

Never order alcohol in a restaurant want to drink go home after the restaurant and drink at home,no loss of license there and no car impoundment either.No revenue for the town either aw what a shame too bad be smart let the political morons find some other source of revenue to steal and line their pockets with. You work too damn hard for your pay check!!

I love Amber café! I had to host a network event for 37 women and all of us had great experience. The venue was great! Our server did absolutely fantastic job serving all our guests. The food was very delicious. I would highly recommend Amber for dinners, get togethers, or any other occasion.

Love the food, cost, location, service & easy parking. I would describe the dress code (if there is one) as diverse. Amber has created the perfect atmosphere for attire thats casual (not too casual though) to dressy for date night.

Food was really good. i had the half chicken. it was tender on the inside but nice and crispy on the outside. The service was great and it didnt cost a fortune. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the immediate area.
