The volleyball courts are pretty good. The pizza is solid and the burgers are ok. Nachos and Wings are disappointing. Prices are average to slightly above for bar fare. Theres a lot of talk from the staff about plans, upcoming changes, and promotions but so far its all talk. In the meantime, the staff and service are bad. Despite a mostly empty bar area, weve sat for much longer than expected just waiting for someone to show up and take our order. On the off chance theres an actual waitress/server, the couple weve had werent particularly friendly or hospitable. Im not sure why the place closed down previously, but unless things change for them I cant see them lasting long with things the way they are currently. I havent been there on a weekend night - maybe its better? Maybe the bowling alley part keeps them in business?

We celebrated my parents 50th anniversary at Root River. The whole expierience was phenominal.The owners and staff made everything from the planning of the event to the actual day a huge success.The banquet hall was set up perfectly and the staff was very helpfull in helping us set up.I would definetly use the facilities for any future parties and would strongly recommend Root River to anyone looking for a hall for their event. Thanks again.

Went for a kids bday party, the staff was friendly and helpful. I use to go there when it was the old bowling. Its beautiful inside now and looks like a total different place. The separate bar area is very nice lots of packer fans. The appetizer were very good to.

Reserved a 6:30 time for bowling with our youth group. Didnt get on the lanes until after 7:00 p.m., and then the lane gates continually malfunctioned, messing up scores and causing delays. Staff was nice enough, but it was a disappointing experience.

Came back for the first time since it reopened. Bad service all around. Would be nice if the bartender could do more than talk to his buddy. I wont be going back. It needs someone to come in and clean up the process and people.

I was here for a "beer tasting" but we were hungry, so we are at the restaurant, my wife had a grilled chicken sandwich with sirracha and I had a patty melt, we both had the sweet potato waffle fries. Delicious.

Good food, fun people and employees. They are always nice and greet us every time we walk in. The bowling alley is nice and so are the volleyball courts. It is a great spot to catch a game in Franklin.

Great moonlight bowling. However, they need to work on their service with respect to the Sports Bar -- slow. Have trouble finding a bartender sometimes.
