I wish I could break down the rating by food and service. I have relatively been happy with the food (when it is served in a timely manner). Good burgers, good fries. Ate in probably 4 times, carried out twice. I like the food, I really do. Now on the service. Horrible, especially with carry out. Our last experience we ordered carry out, arrived to hear it was not ready yet. No issue. We sat, waited, waited, and waited. Eventually we asked again about the food to find out it was on the counter the whole time. After expressing concern, the manager graciously said he would give us new fries. All was well until we got home and realized the lettuce and tomatoes on the burgers cooked and made everything a soggy sloppy mess. Called to complain again and just didnt get the impression that the manager really cared. I dont know how to sum this one up. I want to go back, the food is good, but was just left with such bad feelings with not only the bad service, but how the bad service was remedied by the manager/owner. They need to really get their workers to care about what they do and provide the best service to the customer. This could be a good place if they could focus on the customer service.

You want a good old American-style burger experience in the northwest suburbs, this is the place to have it. The food is not only good, its original. Your choices are good and you can have everything from appetizers to deserts there with a good selection of ready-to-serve ice cream and shakes. I and my family have yet to have a bad meal there. The place is small and often busy, so expect higher than normal wait time on food during peak hours, but it is well worth the wait. Staff working there are upbeat and friendly. They are very involved with the local high school and often raise funds for students and activities. One of my favorite lunch stops.

Ive had a burger at the one in Grayslake before and it was solid. Decided to go to the one in Wauconda for lunch. Ordered 10 wings and their garlic fries. Meh. The Wings were a little soft, I prefer them on the crunchy side - the flavors were decent enough though (Teriyaki & Buffalo). The fries were just not good. Theres no beating around the bush on that one, I will never be ordering those again. But hey, this was just my experience this time. Maybe, if I ever decide to go again, it will be better next time.

My sister and I ran the Savage Race on 7/29 & we needed food badly! I saw a review stating that they had the best burgers so we decided to stop. OMG this place was AMAZING! The staff was so inviting and nice. Everyone spoke as soon as we entered, even other customers! I order the mushroom burger & garlic fries and my sister got the bbq wings. If this place wasnt an hour and half away I would go there at least twice a week. Food was spectacular. Definitely a place to stop if youre in the area!

Food Was OK i liked their fresh fries but it was a sloppy burger that didnt hold itself together well. What really bothered me was how disgusting the Soda Machine there was, as seen in the pictures. I know this a smaller Mom n Pop shop, but for the sake of your customers health this machine was just gross. If they let this happen to the Soda Machine, how does this affect the Ice in there? What else do they not clean as well as they should?

Bulldogs is awesome. When you first walk in, you feel like youve stepped back into the days of the "soda shop". The decor is vintage, and IMO (as a Wauconda native) really fits in with the "old time feel" of Main street in Wauconda. Burgers...out of this world. I love the Big n" Beefy... a quarter pound patty with shaved Italian beef on it. Garlic parmesan fries are amazing, as are the many choices of wings. Great place to take the kids!

Fifties diner atmosphere. Big burgers in a vast array of combinations. Two favorites Mac Daddy (Mac and cheese, bacon) and Zombie Apocalypse (bacon, jalapeno, pepper jack, BBQ sauce, fried egg). Friendly staff will make sure you get your food brought to your table. Limited street parking, but definitely worth a short walk. Come here for a fun time with friends.

Bulldogs by far has the best Burgers in Wauconda and probably the Midwest. Their amazing selection of burgers and other sandwiches, the fresh ingredients they use and thier home town charm and attention to detail set them head and shoulders apart from other burger joints. You havent had a burger until youve had a Bulldogs burger!

Best food in the area! Great atmosphere, and the place is sometimes gets packed (because the food is just so good). For a place in the suburbs, thats pretty unusual to see. I love how the owners tapped into the community of Wauconda by naming their restaurant after the high school mascot. Its genius.

Every time I order take-out, the order is wrong. I ask for a manager to call me, they never do. The food is overcooked. The eat-in is dirty. You have to even TOUCH a lid of a dirty garbage can to throw away your food (they all think that is funny). Gave it one more chance, that was the last one.

I did the wing challenge, Asylum, and completed it so Im on the wall of fame. The wings were really spicy, but the wings surprised me with how much meat they had. There are definitely not your typical meat like a big chain, these are high quality wings. They dining area has a unique and casual.

Shoutout to Tony and the crew for the great food and service. I love the vibe i get when i walk in and the quality of food is the best i have ever eaten out. I say they got the best burgers in illinois. I have eaten there three times so far and have loved every second of it. Keep it up.

Bulldogs is a great place! The food is fresh, good and creative. I always want to try something new, but love my go-tos so much (pulled pork sandwich and Main Street Burger), I have a hard time deciding. Once you have been served, Tony makes your meal fun while running the show.

The food was good though a little pricey. Service was a little rushed. For a first time visitor, you need a bit of time to take in the menu wall, but the 19 year old at the cash is rushing you along and is annoyed when you ask questions. Not the cleanest place in the world either.

Interesting, quirky, nostalgic surroundings. Menu is diverse, offering standards treated & elevated to new perspectives & levels. Delicious is not enough word in describing the food. My daughter, grandson & I thoroughly enjoyed Bulldog Grill & will be back... bringing others!

I use to work in the area and this was my favorite place to go to lunch. They make an amazing pulled pork nacho. Sometimes I crave it. To be honest, everything on their menu is great, but Im a sucker for that pulled pork. My mouth waters from just thinking about it.
