Never left a bad review in my life, but this grill really got me. We stopped there on my way to Chicago (coming back from vacation). I ordered coffee and buffalo wild wings. In 10 minutes the waitress told me that the coffee pot "would not get hot" so there will be no coffee (a big bummer, since I had to drive all day), but all right, stuff happens. And then I get the wings. I cannot say they were buffalo wings since there was NO SAUSE on them! No flavor whatsoever. Just cooked wings. With a side of a ranch dressing. So it might be a good place to watch a game and drink beer, but not for hungry travelers who just want to eat there.

I have to say that I was slightly impressed here. The bartenders keep the place really clean, the food is good, and they serve some really cold beer! More than enough TVs for entertainment, decent seating for a "strip mall bar", and good music when sports arent on TV. Great prices on their drinks and food which isnt common place as well. What made me give 5 stars is that Paula, the bartender called me by name roughly 10 minutes after I introduced myself. Thats rare to say the least and should reflect their personality and quality of employees that work here. Highly recommend!

Great bar and deli. Love the Club Sandwich. Absolutely huge and fantastic cold. Nice local bar, quiet friendly guest. Multiple large flat-screens showing various sports games and national trivial pursuit which is free. Bartenders (male and female) are nice. Management, primarily a dude named Cody is straight forward and recognizes repeat customers treating them well. No problems, good people, some out of town folk due to local motel scene. I dont drink often but when I do I choose Capital City.

Everything was great here.. I am pretty sure the bartender had professional training. Great bar food for a reasonable price. Awesome spot to listen to music. Most of the waitresses are nice to look at. Just an overally great environment. It got a little rowdy towards close, but I am all for that.

I met a guy there and we were there for 4 hours and enjoyed ourselves at playing trivia. The food was very good. It is one place I would recommend if someone was going to be in Springfield.

Great little bar and really good food at a reasonable price. Underrated for Horseshoes and Fried Fish! Burgers are awesome, just like the nachos! Give this place a chance, you wont be sad.

Get food, fun, and atmosphere! Their fair fries are fantastic and the breaded pork tenderloin was one of the best Ive had. I highly recommend Capital City Bar & Grill.
