Last night was the 5th and last time I will attempt to eat at NRG. Walked in around 5:45 on a Friday evening and the restaurant is about 1/4 full. We were seated and after waiting 15 minutes and the server walking by our table 7-8 times, I had zero interest in paying for poor service. Only after we started walking out did the server ask if we had been helped. Prior visits have been very slow tickets times out of the kitchen, but the server can at the very least greet and take drink orders. If you have lots of spare time and the patience of Job the catfish is pretty good.

Stopped in for lunch today and it was horrible. It took about 45 minutes to get a chichen fried steak and a hamburger, and the place was not very busy at all. The burger and fries were cold, the chicken fried steak was small (especially for the price) and chewy. Almost couldnt cut it with a knife. The mashed potatoes seemed to have been microwaved as some of it was scolding hot and other parts were ice cold and was brought out after the rest was of the food was served. If you are looking for a decent lunch do not come here or you will regret it.

I have been here twice. Both times I went, my party was the only party in the house. It took my friend 15 minutes to get a beer and glass of wine at the bar one time we went. The other time we went it took an hour 15 to bring out our food. I ordered a steak and it was about a quarter of an inch thick, was well done when I asked for rare, and tasted like ground beef. My boyfriend ordered chicken fried steak got food poisoning from his chicken fried steak after he complained that it tasted weird. DO NO WAISE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!

The atmosphere was great really enjoyed the band. I ordered the Chicken fried steak which was delicious and came with a baked potatoe,which could have been cooked a little longer and a side salad. my husband and our friend each ordered the WPS Burger and said that was delicious also.Service was so so, waitress kept disappearing and did not get my choice of salad dressing correct after I told her two times. Over all experience was good, I will go back.

Two stars for great service. Minus three stars for food. Fries were far too salty to eat. Whiskey bent burger was almost burnt and too dry, perhaps more sauce or wet fixings like tomato or lettuce. Catfish was good but a little overpriced. Things are left off of menu like the spicy bourbon sauce on the pork. Maybe off to a rough start and will tweak things with time.

Sweet tea is fountain, bartender took 10 mins to change channel, only ones in resturant and has taken oven 40 mins to get our food. Im started to get scared of how it gonna taste. Fish wasnt good, mac n cheese was dry, mash potatos good. Do not waste your time or money. Angus steak really good 8.5 outta 10 on it. Shrimp was good.

Went in to grab some dinner. First thing we noticed was that the place was dimly lit.... Almost dark. But they had a guy playing live music and the food and drinks were pretty good, though a little pricey.

Awesome rib steak; my companion had fish & shrimp; we will have to return soon for the ribs which he wanted, but you were out of. Great staff; both efficient and courteous. Great dining experience.
