Poor service. That pretty well sums it up. My wife and I were in town for a concert. We liked the idea of staying within close walking distance of the arena so we chose the Wyndham Riverfront. For convenience we stopped by the restaurant before heading to the concert. Plenty of time, so we thought. We watched as other tables were slowly being server, but served. We finally had someone stop by the table and offer to take our order. We had the salad bar. The salad was fine. At the end of the meal we waited for someone to bring a check. No one ever came. Finally I went to the front to pay. Waited some more. They were clearly busy, but arguably not THAT busy. I told the cashier I needed to pay. He was perplexed as to why I didnt have a check. I told him we were never given one and we needed to leave in order to get to the concert. He told us not to worry about paying and asked us to catch them on a non-concert night. We appreciated them covering the meal even after I offered repeatedly to pay them. Part of the hotel stay included a breakfast here as well, so we are breakfast the next morning. Food was fine. Again, service, not so much. I hate writing negative reviews. Hopefully this was a fluke and his place is great. First impressions are lasting though.

My wife and I visit Little Rock once or twice each year. For the past 4-5 years, we make sure we have dinner at the Riverfront Steakhouse...usually taking advantage of the Early Bird Specials. The steaks are fantastic, the selection at the salad bar is the best to be found in the region, Donnie goes out of his way to meet and greet customers and all wait staff have been both courteous and professional. Shawn particularly goes above and beyond to personalize the experience for those he serves. For others who have indicated that theirs was less than a top-notch experience, I feel for you. For those who indicated that they could get a better burger at McDonalds or BK, go ahead. I would not waste my time dining at the Riverfront Steakhouse if all I wanted was a burger...although I am confident it would taste great and the experience would be fantastic. We have stayed at the hotel which houses the RS...and we have also eaten there when staying "over the river and through the woods". I could not give the Riverfront Steakhouse, GM Donnie or his staff any higher commendation.

We went to eat here for a date night and were completely torn on where to go. I did some search on the web and noticed the reviews that were left about Riverfront. When we arrived, it took 5 minutes to be greeted by our server who then made us feel rushed. He condensed the 5 minute "schpill" about the restaurant into 30 seconds. We ordered our beverages and were told about the salad bar. We received our drinks and my wine glass had lips marks all over the rim. We were so rushed in placing our order, that I didnt get to order the side dish I wanted. The salad bar was pleasant but the only good part of the experience. Our entrees were definitely not as expected. I ordered the prime rib (medium rare) and it came out gray. My wifes surf and turf wasnt too spectacular either. Her lobster tale was almost like chewing on rubber bands, it was very reminiscent of bad calamari. In all, it was not a pleasant time and I do not plan to ever return...dont make the mistake I did!

Quality of both service and food gets top marks in my book. We had Bailey and she was the nicest waitress ever. In my professional opinion, the people that are dissatisfied with their experience are those "difficult customers" that everyone hopes they never have to serve. Haha. Im not a server, but I respect how much people in that industry have to put up with from customers with bad attitudes. On the early bird menu they ask that you dont split checks because of the way the 2-for-1 special is charged on the ticket; and because of the huge attraction that this restaurant is, it is a very good idea to make a reservation instead of just showing up and hoping that you will get a table. Those are just my two cents on several of the complaints Ive read on here after having a wonderful first experience there myself. We went last night and Ive already recommended it to my co-workers this morning. :)

I read the reviews online and took a chance with this restaurant on Saturday 28SEP13, and Im glad we did! The GM Donnie Rieathbaum was very courteous and ensured his staff did everything they could to make it a memorable night! Our server Phillip went out of his way to take care of us and did a great job. The food was perfect, the portions were pretty good esp. the baked potato (a dinner in itself). It was nice going to a restaurant away from the traditional fast food styles where everyone was polite and dressed nicely = no "people of walmart" dinning here and it was great! 5 Full Stars for this place - go try it!!

Food was good but, service was horrific! We waited over 30 minutes for our waiter to split our check while listening to him complain the entire time! He literally stood by our table and discussed how we were all ridiculious and did not have any business coming to this resturant to cause him problems. I feel sorry for the owner of this establishment having fairly good food but completely smeared by awful service. I would suggest finding an alternative location for better service, especially if you get such poor service from someone who has been here for "10 years".

We had a group of about 20 people with one server. It took over 2 hours to get our entree and we got offered 2 drinks during that time. When my husband got his steak it was really over cooked. We talked to the manager who speeded up our service for awhile but then disappeared again. Our waitress blamed this on other parties at the restaurant that night. If you know there will be multiple parties in one night, keep a lot of people on staff. We werent even allowed the opportunity to be served enough drinks to make us forget how terrible the service was.

Slow service, no lunch buffet as advertised, and staff sub-par. Did I mention that this steakhouse has no steak in the lunch menu. No salad bar as advertised. They open at 11, we arrived at 1120, staff was unprepared, lounging around on phones, sneaking in/out side doors by our table consistently, and we waited 15 minutes for first drinks. Food took 50 minutes to arrive...and we were first customers and only ones kitchen was servicing. A chicken salad and sandwich took that long.... What a disappointing waste of time, money, and patience.

Dinner: Delicious despite the fact that there is that there is no real butter to accompany the amazing rolls. Staff was wonderful, they tried, which means to me that there is no real butter in the kitchen to cook a steak. Breakfast: The very best omelets prepared by BA! The buffet needs to have the heat turned up a notch. Both times we have visited, the hash browns taste great but are close to room temperature. Poor BA needs a taller station to work at. He appears to be about 65" hunched over a 30" table!
