This location unfortunately it is the joke as far as management goes. First of all very nice upscale exclusive high-end very nice looking Mexican restaurant. The only problem I have its the quality of the foods and also management. I have arrived with my family and waited at the table for more than 20 minutes and attendance. My children were thirsty and finally I have asked for someone to start to take the orders from us or we are leaving. Some lady comes over to our table things are those herself and she just apologized that we are waiting for so long and then someone will get our orders right away later on I have find out that this was general manager of the store which is pretty much very unprofessional that she even tried to get someone to us much earlier she said that she has seen me look around for service thats why she stopped thats ridiculous. Server was very nice. My children have ordered their Foods which they cold and unfortunately their chicken was uncooked. This was my second visit in this location and unfortunately last. In normal restaurants manager would come to the table during the entire process and ask if we can do anything for you which I didnt look for freebies but at least acknowledge that something is wrong that only that we have wait for so long to be greeted but also food wasnt good and uncooked to me it is extremely poor management. I have contact corporate and seems to me they all are the same level unresponsive in the professional mother. Avoid this Location avoid this Location under all possible circumstances theres so many places nearby to attend with great service professional management and even much better food

For this review: I dont have 4 kids, I understand even w/ reservations I may get sat at 6:05, and that some items in restaurants marinade for hours, so the flavor may not be removed/ changed at my request (Amanda:) I had the fajita plate with bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with jalapeno. The grilled shrimp were surprisingly large, flavorful and cooked perfectly, still soft and juicy, yet the wrapped bacon crisp. The chicken fajitas were moist and tender with a nice grill char on the outside. And they have a cool open kitchen so you can walk up and watch everything being prepd and made fresh on the spot. (and as I watchd the fancy tortilla machine several passing servers asked if I needed anything. no but appreciate the service) The El Jefe margarita was fantastic, for those who dont like their margs sweet, this has a great spicy bite, as well as salt and pepper rimmed glass, to offset the usual margaritas sweetness. Yes, its over $10 but you get 2 pours out of the shaker for one drink. Oh, and the restaurant design itself is really nice (not the typical garish colored mexican knick knack clutter everywhere) its very refined, rustic materials used cleanly with nice subtle lighting. If you just looking to feed the kids a big, cheap plate of refried beans and rice with sloppy, cheesy enchiladas, where they use brightly colored sombreros as restaurant decor, this place may not be what youre expecting. Its a well designed atmosphere that you pay an above average price for delicious, chef driven above average Tex Mex dishes.

If I could give this place a zero I would. It looks really nice, but its deceiving. The table side guacamole made right in front of you was horrible. They try to make it look all fresh and fancy, but the guy making it put a couple chunks of avocado skin in it and when I bit into it, I almost felt like I broke a tooth. I still gave it a chance, but realized every bite tasted like pure lime juice...definitely ruined the gauc, which was $12 for what they consider to be a large order. Also the menu said the large was only $10 and the waiter just assumed we wanted the large and did not even ask us what we wanted. Then I asked for steak tacos without fajita seasoning, which could not be done. Then I asked for beef tacos and he said they have a mesquite flavor in which I asked if it could be another flavor and he said no. I asked if they could be just plain and again no. Every taco item has a mesquite or fajita flavor so if you dont like that, youre basically screwed. Lastly, my shirt was leaning up against the table a couple times in which I noticed what looked like water on my shirt, but realized it was grease from the edge of the table not being properly wiped so I got grease all over my brand new shirt. It soaked so much through it went into my under garments. Horrible dining experience, overpriced and honestly the worse food Ive had in a while. Its all for looks, but the place is terrible.

This place was ok, but not great. If you do plan to go, make a reservation. The waits can be LONG. The first table they brought us to was, get this, IN the mall. They have an outside patio that is actually outside, then they have the "patio" that is in the mall hallway. We asked to be moved, not only because it felt weird to eat in front of all the mall goers, but also because it was right by the outside doors and it was very chilly. They had no issue re-seating us, which was great. The inside ambiance was GREAT! It felt like we were in an old mission, it was dark and comfy. Now for the food. The portions are fine but not big. Prices are a bit high for what you get. My husbands carnitas fajitas had a few big chunks of fat in them, my shrimp tasted like they had be cooked previously and rewarmed, and they only gave us three tortillas for both of us to split. Our server was very kind and gave us more, but he was also pretty slow. Granted, it was packed in there, but he forgot to refill my water a few times after he said he would. The salsa and guac were tasty and fresh. In the end, we both decided that we would rather go to Chevys right outside of the mall to get better, cheaper fajitas and tex-mex food.

So surprised to see this have such bad reviews below. Went here during a late lunch on a Wednesday so the wait time was not an issue. We had Tariq as our server and he did a great job. Gave great suggestions to my family on what to eat and even suggested ordering a different combination so that it would be a little bit cheaper. Service was prompt and he followed up throughout the experience. The food was cooked really well. I had the shrimp fajitas and they tasted very good. My wife got the honey chipotle salmon and she also gave the dish 5 stars. What put this place over the top for us is that Tariq was very mindful of our 7 month old son dining with us. He took care to not serve over his head and engaged with him while checking up on us. This place is higher on the price side. For four adults, no alcoholic drinks and no appetizers our bill totaled to $71. I would recommend this place if I could guarantee they would be served by Tariq.

This being our second time here we were excited to bring our out of town guests. Until we actually had to order. Our waiter was very quiet and had a hard time hearing him. He proceed to tell my MIL the food choice she was thinking about was not spicey, but when she got it it was very spicey. He seemed to care more about the girl at the next table then us. It took a long time to get the food so eventually a different waitress brought us half our order and we had to flag down our waiter to bring the rest. Meanwhile everyone around d had their food before us and we were there first. After deciding to order another entree because of the first one not being what we thought, the waiter told my MIL there were no onions in the chicken quesadilla and when she bit into it there were onions! For as expensive as this place is you expect quality all around. Very disappointed!
