I went here for lunch with people from work and I had the steak taco platter. The food came out fast so that was great! The food wasnt too bad either. It was the about the equivalent of something youd get at your local Chipotle. The food was expensive! I was expecting a lot more food for $9! The meal came with two tiny tacos with a few cubes of steak in each, a small spoonful of beans, and a small spoonful of rice. Also there was no chips and salsa for dine in eaters. What kind of Mexican restaurant doesnt serve chips and salsa to dine in guests? Needless to say I left pretty hungry, which is not something that happens often at most Mexican restaurants. The food and "hot" sauces were also pretty bland, but I suppose for the area the restaurant is in it works fine. Im used to Mexican food where the flavor has a lot more kick, this place was more of a mild whisper, which some folks might like. All in all if you looking for Mexican food that is a step up from Taco Bell, but nowhere near as good as the more authentic Mexican places, then youll be able to tolerate it. Honestly I would never go here by myself. In the future Ill only go if the group decided it was where they wanted to eat.

Ive never had more bland food in my entire life. I ordered the Fish tacos (Canyon taco?) and when I took the first bite I thought they had forgotten to put fish in the taco. The fish had absolutely no seasoning. The rice was room temperature instead of hot. I cant tell you how bland _everything_ was. I absolutely hate re-fried beans and that was the only thing that I ate more than two bites of. I even threw away the strawberry daiquiri after two sips. The best part of the meal was the small cup of pico de gallo that I got from the salsa bar. I threw everything in the garbage. Never in my life have I thrown away *everything*.

Went in today with my daughter, after standing in line to place order you seat yourself and wait for your food... no chips and salsa like any other restaurant u dine in. My tacos had more cheese and sour cream than steak and the rice and beans look like they came from the can. Everything is self serve from pop to salsa so I wasnt understanding the tip jar at the front register. Definitely not the experience I was looking for from a Mexican restaurant, Ive been treated better while dining in many other. Not really worth the time..

The best thing about this place is their food and the music. Not the typical regional Mexican music, the play ballads, pop, rock and more modern mexican music. Their food combos are great and the salsa bar its awesome! (green is my favorite one). The staff is ok, they are nice (except for the girl at the cash register, she always looks like she is having a terrible day, or she probably hates her job). Other than that, this place is very clean, modern, and highly recommended.

This place have great tortas just remember to ask for no onions. They put slices of red onions in their torta which Im not used to so I would skip that. I do love the avocado slices though. I tried a steak taco once. I would ask to skip the iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and cheese next time. But overall, Id go back and maybe even eat in instead of take-out.

The atmosphere was pleasant. Upbeat music. The menu featured a few pictures that show a lot of cheese. This is not in any way close to Mexican food. Only in the style. Two out of three orders were wrong so we had to wait a long time for corrections. Use the salsa bar to spice the food. Overall, we wont be coming back. Not sure why this gets 4.5 stars.

This was the worse Mexican resturant Ive been to...no service, cold food, messed my order up, charged us for everything....even water! Didnt even give us complimentary chips and salsa! This resturant should be called kiss my ass instead kiss my taco... I hated I even had to rate them because they dont deserve a rating!

This place has great burritos. For the price the borrito is huge. I always got the cheesy burrito that was very flavorful and well seasoned. They have a salsa bar with pico, hot, and verde salsa. Besa Mi is busy at lunch but always is fast and has at least a few seats available. Great patio for summer months.

I have taken so many people to Besa Mi Taco and have not had one person say they disliked it! Everyone raves about how great it is. I personally love their steak fajita burrito and the cheese dip that you can get on the side with the chips. The place has such good prices and I will take it any day!

I regularly get food from Besa MI Taco. My favorite is the Veggie Burrito platter (with Spanish Rice & Refried Beans). It is so delicious Im always disappointed when my foods all gone. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Once you try the food here, youll definitely come back.

I used to love this place, but not so much anymore. I am not sure if they changed the cook, but the food is prepared way different from what Ive ate there before. I used to love the chicken torta. Now all I taste is onions, they never put them inside before. I threw it out.

Went through their drive thru today. Their Tacos come with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. I told them I only want onions , they said they have to charge me extra because onions isnt a part of their taco ingredients..... I just moved to Itasca, wont come back again.

Quality cant be disputed and service is quick even during a lunch rush. But this is pretty extreme gringo style Mexican food, at times even bordering on childlike. Fresh salsa bar isnt bad but overall this is so far from authentic that its silly.

Burrito was really great! I didnt burritos can be that good - stuffing was mixed well with melted cheese and not just thrown inside tortilla like other places. And price is unbeatable - Chipotle would in trouble if this place were a chain.

One of the best mexican places in Elk Grove Village. Good service with laid back themes and a casual overtone over classical and popular Mexican and Spanish music. Great for friendly gatherings and even dates.

Im from out of town where theres plenty of locally owned Mexican food vendors and this is real good. Everything was great except the beans and rice but the torta and esquite were delicious!

Surprisingly good. It feels more TEXican than MEXican but the fresh grilled meats and quality of all the food is very good. The salsa bar is hit or miss, usually needs hotter sauces.
