Thank you God for putting the Happy Elephant within 5 miles of my house. I think I died and went to Pad Thai heaven. Their Pad Thai was steamy and fresh. You can tell its home made b/c it didnt have that orange tint to it. The Drunken Noodles are excellent as well. They are the wide, rice noodles with hints of basil and jasmine. The Happy Elephant moved into a noodle place that I drove by 100 times, but never walked into. The outside used to look dirty and mean. Anyway, those days are over, so out with the old and in with the new. The new place is super clean, colorful, with creative Zen-like art on the walls and did I say brand spankin new. The ambiance is definitely not fancy, but its fresh; which I prefer. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in New York or Chicago b/c its a mom and pop, but has a younger vibe to it. If you like Big Bowl, drive the 3 miles south and check this place out. Its in the same strip mall as Teddys diner and behind Hippos Hot Dogs.

Hands down best Thai food Ive ever had, and friendliest owners and staff. The seating area in the restaurant is small, but I actually like it - makes you feel like food is being prepared just for you, as you need it, and not mass prepared ahead of time. I mostly do take-out and always order enough food for two people. Leftovers are always good for a couple days, and quite frankly, I can never make up my mind on what to order. The Thai Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai are my favorites...with a side of delicious peanut sauce, of course. Their wraps are also really good - both the Happy Wrap and Cucumber Wrap. Only problem is that once youve eat Happy Elephant, Chinese food just simply wont cut it, or any other Thai place. They set the bar so high that youll never be satisfied unless youre eating Happy Elephant.

Happy tummy + Happy wallet = Happy Elephant! Excellent experience. Crab Rangoons were delicious. More creamy than crabby, but excellent flavor, fried just crispy enough and served with their excellent homemade sweet and sour sauce. I normally dont do sweet and sour, but theirs will forever be the exception. Ordered the Beef Pad Thai spicy and it was prepared perfectly, not over or under spicy. Perfect. The dish screamed Fresh, unlike the ramen-like Pad Thai Ive had elsewhere. Dont let the strip-mall location fool you. Its small but cozy. A clean decor tastefully appointed with paintings... painted by ELEPHANTS! Appetizer, entree, Thai spiced coffee, and tax (everything but the tip) was less than $19. Ill be back the next time Im in town...

Took my family there today for dinner after reading the great reviews here. They werent lying; this place is awesome. Great service, great food, and great people. Its just a tiny little place with about 6 tables, more suited for take out than dining in. I had the red curry and it was one of the best Ive had. I ate every last drop. The chicken coconut soup was just amazing. The beef salad had simple, fresh flavors. Even the kids liked it. The cook, a Thai lady, and her husband came out and talked for a bit. Really nice people and she can cook. Ive been to a lot of Thai restaurants and this is one of the best. Highly recommended.

I travel all over the US for business about 70% of the time, and have the chance to eat out often and rarely cook. Thai food is a favorite of mine, and I have had it in just about every big city. How happy I was, when I found this quaint, hip, friendly, and clean Thai Restaurant right down the street from my apartment. Enough hype, if you go here I highly recommend the Pad Thai (w/ BBQ Pork). No Thai restaurant I have ever been to uses BBQ Pork... and they are missing out! It is flavorful, spicy, and sweet. The Tom Kha soup is also really delicious and the best I have had outside of a few big metropolitan areas.

Two first dishes excellent but then we got those smelly shrimps tossed with veggies which didnt look anything like the one we ordered week before . When we went to ask for our money back the crazy Asian lady started to scream that she sad that she spend money too to make her order and she will loose if she will return ours...lol...then we didnt have anything to wait for so we left unhappy and frustrated. No ability to resolve the problem like a human beeing. We will never go there again for sure. Especially when the "boss" is screaming to a pregnant woman which was my sister and i really felt bad about that.

Id give it zero stars if that was an option. Couldnt even eat the food, had to throw it out. The veggie fried rice is just white rice with a few chunks of carrots and peppers with some soy on it. Pad Thai was worse than the kind I tried to make myself (it was awful). I got some ginger dish with beef and there were only a few pieces of meat one of which was so gross I wouldnt put it in my mouth. I have no idea why this has 4 stars. All the reviews must have been by people who work there, or have never tried Thai food made my Thai people. Dont go here! Go to Taste of Thai on golf and Gannon

Lets begin with saying Ive had way better Thai food elsewhere. This food was so bland and not appealing and to be honest I think it was undercooked. I am not happy at all with the service either. The guy working at the cash register was very rude and unprofessional, seemed like he was in a rush to get me out of there mind you I bought $50 worth of food for myself and 2 coworkers. Will not return here! The crab rangoons tasted as if they came from panda express. Pathetic.

After reading great reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a shot and I am very glad that I did. For appetizer I had the Crab Rangoon and it was simply amazing. Sweet & Sour sauce (which comes with it) was out of this world. This was the best Sweet & Sour sauce I have tasted in my life. For entrees, I had a Tofu Pad Thai and Spicy Chicken Basil. Both were made with fresh produce and were very delicious. I highly recommend you give it a try as well.

Came here because of the great reviews. Ordered the lettuce wrap but it was very disappointing, tasted like someone popped the chicken into the microwave and put some bottled sauce on it. We also order the platter which was okay... The ragoons where delicious :)) .... Main course - pad Thai seems the standard dish but sadly had to return it because it was not edible . Seriously your better off buying ur own frozen Thai cuz thats what I felt I ate here..

The food is AWFUL, i regret having to spend over $50 for food that went into the trash due to the fact that they would not give me my money back, it is really unfortunate the food use to be good but it has all turned to crap along with the customer service i honestly dont know how they are still in business, i would not recommend this place to anyone, and me and my family will never eat here again!!!!!!
