I visited this place with my parents a while ago in the afternoon. While I was waiting for the food with my parents, I had to go to the restroom for a while. After washing my hands, when I was leaving the restroom, I saw the turn the light off sign, and I accidentally turned it off not remembering that there is still a person in the restroom. After the light was off, that person started yelling at me really loudly. I immediately acknowledged my mistake and turned the light on in less than a second. I said I am sorry about my mistake many times, and tried to apologize for the action which I did. However, he did not seem to listen to me, just said some words (probably cursing words..) in Korean. In addition to that, he looked at me as if he was going to kill me anytime soon. After seconds of silence, I just left the restroom. After leaving the restroom, I came back to the table and just waited for the food. Soon, the food was ready and that same person who yelled at me like a mad man brought the food to us. He was indeed a waiter, and was not a customer. (In fact, he looked like he was a son of the owners of the restaurants). He still looked at me as if I have done something unforgivable such that there is no way that he can forgive me for that incident. I couldnt finish the food very well. After this incident, I do not go back to that restaurant anymore.

I reserved a room in advance for 6-9 people. We ended up having 10 people, which was a little crowded but not a problem. We ordered beer and food right away, and it didnt take too long to arrive. We had pancakes (of a sort), kimch and tofu pizza, dumplings, and beef bulgogi, and the food was surprisingly good. All told, the cost was about $24 per person, which is not bad for dinner, lots of beer, and 3.5 hours of entertainment. The selection of songs is extensive (we were in an English room). The only weakness is that the background music is kind of lame, like synthesized music. Overall, everyone had a good time, and I would strongly recommend that anyone who likes to sing try it.

Food: The food is okay. Some of the dishes, such as the rice cake dishes and bul-go-gi, seem to have a lot of sugar in them. Maybe its a regional thing. To be honest most of it just isnt as good as the Korean food you can get in the neighboring Champaign and Urbana. The one thing I did find is that they made a pretty tasty man duk goo, the broth was very flavorful. Prices were pretty average for Korean food around town. Portions were medium sized. Service is slow, and the food is served with long intervals in between, so dont feel like you should wait for your companions to get theirs before starting. Karaoke was pretty good, no complaints there and they had a decent song selection.

A great time was had by all - except we were ripped off royally. Heres how it went: Three people walk into the restaurant. They are ushered into a room to do Karaoke. On the website it says "2-3 people $20 per hour". They were not told that the room they were ushered into was NOT a 2-3 person room. At the end of their 4 hours of fun, they are charged $30 per hour. When they call the next day, the manager tells them that there were no 2-3 person rooms available with American songs, so they were put in a more expensive room. Again, not TOLD that it would be more expensive. Needless to say, we will be telling out friends, and we wont be going there again.

Star Karaoke is a blast! You have a private Karaoke room where you can order drinks and food and sing in private with your friends. Theyre open until two in the morning and have an awesome selection of songs to sing. Several Binders full! It is such a blast and I definitely recommend going with your friends. But be ready to split the cost (an hour of karaoke is $30 - which isnt bad if youre splitting it among your friends).

bar,pizza.. and serves Korean food as well it isnt that bad.. but they dont give you a lot (quantity) if youre hungry dont go there unless you want to spend a lot of money at a place thats not that luxurious (one person= about 15 dollars) to be honest its a rip off for the price and bad service..

The chicken is awesome! Came here a few years ago where they used song books with numbers, which I prefer over the digital version.

Alright food. Not authentic. Karaoke is good however - not that there are any other alternatives
