Ive been here a few times now. When it comes to Indian food, a quick fix of chicken biryani never ceases to satisfy my craving. I also love me some samosas. I just love how almost every culture has their own version of a bread filled dish; empanadas, in the Spanish culture, etc. Anyway, Ive never been dissatisfied at this place. Its a local, small business shop. Well kept, nothing too crazy and overwhelming. It is set up right next to the Vietnamese place I always get pho at. You can immediately tell this place has already established some regular customers. The family that owns the place are very nice, at least to me they are. Then again, my tolerance is pretty high. Other staff members are very polite and kind too. Yet Im sure just like anyone else, they may have their bad days. Everyone is human. Nevertheless, the food is still good. Again Indian food never ceases to satisfy the palate. Im giving it only 4 stars mainly because the tray of biryani is over $10, including tax. Thats a pretty killer rate. When I lived off Granville Ave., in Chicago, there is a shop there that sold chicken biryani for $7 flat. And it was the phenomenal bomb galore. All in all, Id recommend giving this place at least 1 try. Cheers!

If youre looking for authentic Indian food you have to try Curries and More. I ordered their paneer butter masala, dal makhni, and cholai. All were of 5 star quality. Nothing was watered down and the portions were perfect. The food also came out very quickly. What I love most about Curries and More, besides their food that is, is the staff. The woman at the cash register was so welcoming and tended to every one of our needs. As great as my experience was, however, I do feel there are could be a few minor adjustments that would make this great restaurant even greater; 1.) I think the food and drinks should be served in proper porcelain and glass instead of tupperware, paper plates, and styrofoam cups. It will really enhance the dining experience. 2.) Playing traditional Indian music in the dining area would be a nice touch. 3.) Hiring some more waiters and waitresses so guests can all be tended to. With these minor touches, this establishment will move above and beyond other Indian restaurants in the area.

I am shocked this place is getting good reviews. The food is strictly okay and it seems like they need professional help. We ordered, a mixed tiffin(Dosa, Vada, and Idli), Aalu Puri, and Chennai Special Dosa. The mixed tiffin was really bad, the idli was rubbery, the vadas tasted bland and the dosa was okay. Aalu Puri - The aalu were prepared like they were being served to a sick person or a baby - no flavor nothing! Now comes to the worst of them all - The Chennai Special Dosa. How is this chennai special? It was stuffed with raw cabbage and huge tomatoes and plain softened potatoes! HORRENDOUS! I was in disbelief they are calling this Chennai Special, what an insult! Also, they are charging a dollar more for this crap dosa on their menu. Truly disappointed.

This location is great place to get a quick Indian dinner. Ive eaten at most of the Indian restaurant options in the Naperville and Plainfield area, and while this is not my favorite location it is in my top 3. The food is good quality, the options are various enough to satisfy the tastes for most groups, and the service is excellent. On both visits the staff was helpful in answering questions and making suggestions for dinner based on the flavor preferences of the customer. They also were very responsive to questions and concerns during the meal. I will be back many times.

We had our first visit at curries and more last week. We have been to almost all nearby Indian restaurants in last several years. Curries and more may not compared to some really nice restaurants like Shikara and India House for their interior decor but the food is definitely delicious. We loved all dishes such as paneer tikka, chili paneer and paneer butter masala. If you are looking for delicious food at reasonable price then this is a good place. I recommend this restaurant to all. Dont try to compare the decor with high end restaurants just go for food.

Taste has only vegetarian food with near to home food taste. Lunch buffet are 12$ now that u dont get anymore in naperville. Buffet are more rice based. Dosa can be ordered as much as you want but store employee will not tell you this . We were told will get dosa each with buffet. Didnot mention how many we get. So we checked with them but they would not tell us it is "unlimited" but they got us as many as we want. :) Just like unlimited naan at any buffet.

Taste of Chennai is a complete "Waste Of Chennai" very poor customer service and the quality of food is total flat. Veggi biryani is too greasy to eat and a strong garlic flavor dominated the Biryani . They gave a wrong take out order and when I called the restaurant ; the guy at front desk was very harsh in his response instead of acknowledging his mistake he got into counter argument and hung up the phone. Taste of Chennai is not recommend for food lovers .

My family and I came here as a last minute dinner decision. I typically only go to buffets because I never know what to order. The entire staff at Curries N More were so kind and helpful. They put together two different variety plates and both were AMAZING. I have been craving them ever since. They also said when I call to order they will walk me through ordering. Very very kind to this clueless suburban mom.

Never come to this place over the weekends, Service is terrible, they need some professional help, most of the special stuff like idiappaam or appam are never available here!! Even though its on the menu. If I want dosa and chapati I would not come this far..!!! So disappointed The reason for 3 * is coz the food is homely the poori baaji was good and so was the coffee and because its a family run business

Hopeless! We tried the dosa night on Sunday evening. The buffet was not good at all, they ran out of vada, zucchini pakorey were uncooked. They also had lemon rice, which tasted good but was cold. The coconut chutney was stale. Sambar and tomatoe chutney was good. Dosas were okay, we had to tell them to make it crispy. I would not recommend Taste of Chennai to anyone.

We went there on Dosa night. Inspite of being busy, the owner took care of our baby daughter so that we can enjoy dosa night. We were deeply touched by the gesture. We enjoyed the real authentic taste of south indian food, like homemade..looking forward to go there again and again..thanks

The menu says that the food is authentic north indian food and truly it serves the purpose. Had a great dinner , had golguppas after a long time and I loved the Tandoori Chicken Thali. The portions were great too. Highly recommend it to everyone.
