DO NOT GET TAKE OUT OR DELIVERY FROM CHINA CHEF!!! We have been eating at China Chef for more that 10 years. One of the main reasons why we eat so often at China Chef is because it is convenient for us, as it less that 1/2 mile from my home. We have gone to China Chef for parties of 2-4-6 or 8. We have even gone there for groups of 10 to 60. The food at China Chef is okay as long as you do not ask for any changes at all to any of the meals, like easy sauce or well done because China Chef will tell you, thats how the food is, if you do not like the food then order something else. Also, we get food to take out or for delivery from China Chef. The food that we get for take out or for delivery from China Chef is whats causing the problems. Quite often some of the food that we receive is wrong, as it is not the food that we had ordered or the food is missing one or several of the items that we ordered. When we telephone China Chef to inform them that there is something wrong with the food that we received, they pretend that they dont understand what we are talking about and or that they dont understand English or that they just dont care. Once again, today we received the wrong food from China Chef, as we ordered Tokwa Con Hipon, which is suppose to have fried Tofu in it, but it had none. We telephoned China Chef and spoke to to a man, Peter, who said that he was the owner. We informed Peter that the Tokwa Con Hipon that we received had no fried Tofu in it. Peter, the China Chef owner did not apologize to us, he did not care, he had a very sarcastic attitude, Peter placed us on hold for more than 10 minutes and when Peter got back on the line, insisted that there is fried Tofu in the Tokwa Con Hipon that we received, but that we must be looking in the wrong spot because the packer told him that its in the middle. I told Peter that we searched the entire order of Tokwa Con Hipon and that there was no fried Tofu in it. Peter essentially said tough to us, that he doest care if he loses us as long time good customer of China Chef and then hung up the telephone on us. All we wanted from China Chef was for someone to care and say that they are sorry for there mistake and that China Chef will do better in the future, but instead we ended up with the China Chef owner, Peter, being rude, arrogant, demeaning and condescending to us. Also the China Chef owner, Peter, hung up the telephone on us. Thank you, Jeffrey Shaw

China Chef is absolutely wonderful! Every time I go there, my experience is fantastic. The waiters are very friendly and the food is splendid. I really enjoy eating the china chef egg rolls. Ive only ordered delivery twice and every time I do, the food always arrives on time and warm. China Chef is extremely busy on holidays, so the food could get cold when it arrives. Other than that, every thing is great. I totally recommend the lemon fish. Its sometimes oily, but its very crispy and delicious. Ive been a costumer for over 11 years and I can say that Ive never had a complaint. Overall, I definitely recommend you go to this restaurant. By the way, I love the remodeling.

We have order from china chef a few times and found it ok but this last time we ordered pot stickers and shrimp egg foo young and the potstickers were burnt and the shrimp egg foo young was sub par with little shrimp to be found. I went back with the burnt pot stickers but because we did have to eat something we choked down the egg foo young I did not have the containor to return the manager said that he would give a credit for the pot stickers but not egg foo young without any apologize. I then suggested he keep his credit because they needed it more. I will find some place better and I think anyone who wants good food should look elsewhere.

Food substandard. It just wasnt good. Silverware not as good as that from my sons school cafeteria. Service okay - lousy food rapidly brought to table. Portions okay - large portions of lousy food. Chinese fast food better value. Tacky and bland decor. Even no Chinese music. Washroom okay. After reading all the reviews, we had expected it to be one of the best Chinese restaurants around. But it was not to be. Haiku: It was not that far. But the food was really bad. Wont go there again.

China Chef is good. Its not the best Chinese Ive had, but its definitely the best in the area. The ambiance in the place leaves something to be desired, but then again, this is a Chinese restaurant.. and most suffer from this. Id come here for lunch or get carryout/delivery.. but I dont think Id come here for dinner. Try the shrimp toast if you have a chance. It doesnt seem healthy.. but its delicious.

The food here was perhaps the most bland Chinese Ive ever eaten. There seemed to be two rooms at this place - a bustling room of Asian diners, and a quiet somber room for non-Asian diners. I was ushered to the non-Asian room. The experience was non-good. The food took an awful long time to come out. Everything was almost tasteless. It was relatively expensive. There are many better options nearby.

I took my daughters and family to China chefs on Mothers Day. The food was excellent and everyone had a great time. The service was excellent. It was my second time going to this restaurant. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who likes this type of food. However, the only downside to our visit is that there is limited parking for the restaurant. We had to park in a side street.

My family has been going here for over 20+ years. The place does need to be renovated with new furniture and carpet, but the food is good here. We normally order the Pancit Guisado, mongolian beef, salt and pepper shrimp, and etc. All of them are very delicious. Normally Im not a fan of Chinese food, but this place would be the only Chinese food that I would go to.

China Chef is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Ive been eating at China Chef for over 30 years. The food is consistently good. They have the BEST egg rolls available anywhere I have ever eaten Chinese food. And thats saying allot, because Ive eaten Chinese food all over the world. Great cashew chicken and Mongolian beef. I think Im going to eat here tonight...

This place has gone down hill fast...ate here after Nankin Closed (That place WAS the best)! After 20 years of serving excellent food, China Chef has turned into mediocre Chinese food to say the least. Either a chef left or they no longer care about quality...something happened...not coming back. Trying to find my new Chinese place...it aint easy.

I like China Chef, its a family staple for dine in or delivery. Like general tso chicken, mongolian beef, fried rice, hot and sour soup, egg rolls. And the egg foo young is great. Its always busy weeknights and weekends. Its one of the better local neighborhood Chinese restaurants and the one we keep going back too.
