Ive eaten here a lot of times through the course of my life, and always ordered out...never a bad experience. Until I finally had one bad experience that ruined it for me entirely. I went with a friend and dined in. They had chicken wings on special some months ago. We ordered them because the price was sooooo low. Although the price was so low, this brings up a question of ethics. What was brought to us was disgusting. The meat was grey and they smelled awful. It was obvious they tried to disguise the rancid smell with sauce. This made me question all of the food there. Serving someone meat that is so badly spoiled it still smells rancid even after being cooked and smothered in sauce violates all types of food preparation ethics. I am by no means a food snob, and really enjoy the "cheap Americanized Chinese food," but from now on I avoid all Rising Sun locations like the plague.

If youre looking for a miserable experience in Chinese dining then this is the spot. Recently went here with a party of three and ordered 3 individual dinners. After a fair to longish wait the waitress appears with 2plates of food and 1menu and says, "oh yeah we dont have your other dinner. Why dont you now order something else" Really???? You couldnt have told me when I ordered? Or at least soon after I ordered? The degree of stupidity Ive experienced has just been raised to politician levels. Avoid this p!ace if you value your sanity. Consider yourself warned

We LOVE Chinese food and have tried every Chinese restaurant and carry out place in the SW Subs - Rising Sun has the best food. HOWEVER, they have the worst attitudes and service. It is great for takeout, but be sure to check your order before you leave (they get it wrong and are rude when you complain). They are also very slow (both for carryouts and service in restaurant.) They are NOT receptive to constructive comments-so dont complain!

I had family in from out of town and ordered from here. Weve been here a few times and are usually satisfied. Lately Ive tried the combination mei fun which is very good. We decided to order two large orders of shrimp fried rice also. While the mei fun was well received, the shrimp fried rice was overcooked, sticky and mushy. No one touched it again after one or two mouthfuls. Needless to say I wasted 25.00 on that order.

This place was AMAZING. First time there, staff was really friendly and the place was spotless. The food was great value for the cost. The egg rolls are huge if you dont order them small, but they are the best Ive had. The food was well prepared and presented nicely. Definitely will be going back. They even pack your left overs in actual take out boxes, not the styrofoam ones.

Its the best chinese restaurant ive ever been to! They always have new dishes, the owner is really nice. She creates different dishes once in a while, you just gotta ask for them when you see her. They have awesome smoothies too! They serve good quality food with a reasonable price. I ordered mongolian beef and it was delicious!

Absolutely the best Kung Pao and amazing egg rolls that taste like an exotic cardomom like spice....try the honsoul and the tangerine chicken also. And the vegetable beef cabbage soup is a weekend treat!

Really annoyed that they discontinued sukiyaki bibimbop after only about 2 months on the menu - I absolutely loved this dish. But overall Id still recommend this restaurant.
