Two stars for food, which for the two apps we had was pretty good and a big fat zero for the service. The reason I just cant give more stars is because of the staff. The bartender is completely unegaging. He and the other 3 employees working are literally standing, talking to each other, with their backs to us. I also have to mention that 1 is playing with his hair and touching his face repeatedly. Another "adjusted himself" in his athletic shorts. The third has had many beer tasters. All of them have been on their phones since pretty much the second we walked in. And there has been no hand washing since all of the mentioned above. Gross. Just gross. I hope the owner/manager sees this and puts some rules in place. We were also looking for directions to an affiliated wine store...but couldnt get anyones attention. It seems the only ones working hard are the cook and server for the patio.

Nice little hide out, a hidden gem, actually bigger once you get inside, there is an upstairs also. Located in the Alley, but so worth it to find. Exceptional food, truly exceptional, example is the bacon wrapped dates. Try the Truffle fries, loaded Tater tots, now the Chatterbox has an expanded full menu. I had the Fish & Chips last Friday, soooo good, with their homemade tarter sauce. Very cool staff, friendly and always making you feel special. If you visit Long Grove stop by the Chatterbox, youll agree with me, its a little hidden gem.

Food is a little pricey, but the quality you are paying for is quite evident and with out a doubt worth every penny. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with loaded fries($12 w/ a $2 surcharge for the loaded fries)... the sandwich has this creamy, basil aioli that is so good plain mayonnaise will never be the same for me! The fries are great quality, and the gouda with all the fixings on top turned a great side into almost the focal point of the entire meal... well played, Chatter Box... well played

Great spot in long grove! The food isnt bar food. Its high end small plates and far from your typical fried garbage that youd find at a bar. Great atmosphere and dont agree at all with the previous neg review about the service. Been here over a dozen times bow and the service is great. They work really hard and get your food and drinks quickly.

Very neighborly place in the middle of the day! I didnt drink but I ate--great hummus plate, delicious soup. The place is small and there are only bar stools so be aware (my friend was using a cane post surgery so I was a bit concerned but since the stools at the bar had backs she was ok. Very reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere and an awesome rustic feel. Not to mention the staff as well as the owner making sure that he greets all the customers. Food is excellent and great drink selection. This is a place for younger people as well as all ages in Long Grove that the town so desperately needed.

The whole area around Chatterbox is worth a visit. Its a hidden gem of a suburb. Great beer list at Chatterbox and great atmosphere. Bartender could not have been nicer to us. The kitchen closes early on Sundays so you have to make it an early dinner.

Awesome low key bar to catch a game or meet up with friends. The service was awesome; never had to ask for a refill. Highly recommend the tacos, they were delicious. If youre looking for a local bar to hang out, this is the spot!

Always a fun time. Downstairs is a bar atmosphere for adults but upstairs is kid friendly during kid hours. Menu is somewhat eclectic but the food is always yummy. Great beer selection with rotating crafts. Love it!

Food is great! Always new food items on their specials every week. Awesome craft beer selection. If you dont know much about craft beer, ask the bartenders. They know their beers. Overall down to Earth atmosphere.
