Ruby Tap is pretty awesome, but 5 starts, I think not. It is a very unique wine bar and it is hip and trendy, but they could do better. Here is the concept: you can taste around 50 different wines, and all at your own pace. You open a tab and they give you a card and a glass. You insert the card into these machines full of various wines and choose how much you want, 1.5, 3 or 6 ounces, priced accordingly. A very neat idea, especially for those who dont know what kind of wine they like yet. You can also order very small portions of specialty cheeses and meats by filling out a little slip of paper at your table and bringing it up to the bar. When I say small portions, I mean it. They were literally only a slice of cheese and several crackers. Do not expect table service here. They will clear your plates eventually, but if you need something go to the bar. It is a relatively small place, with not a ton of seating. The seating they have is very jammed in there so it was hard to navigate. If I owned the place I would have more high tables without chairs so people could at least have a place to set their drink if the must stand.

I want to take all my friend here! This little gem has a lot going for it. The atmosphere is cozy, especially by fireplace. I love the whole self-serve wine concept, it makes for a unique experience . If you like white and or red they have a nice selection of both. And if thats not doing it for you, they have different wines on tap and beer. Im pretty positive the cheese/meat they have for platters are from local shops, which you cant go wrong with any of the choices. And you must try the truffle popcorn, its way too delicious. Definitely my new favorite place.

Cool card/pour system setup here. Waitress takes your credit card and gives you one of their cards. Then you go to a wall of wines, all individually priced, and insert your card. You can the tap for a taste, a pour, or a glass. Repeat this process throughout the night and then cash out when youre done. They have plenty of tables and a small little patio. Even some couches in the back to relax on. Friendly staff too.

The Ruby Tap is the perfect place to lounge and relax while sipping some delicious wines, drinking Wisconsin beers and eating some local cheeses and meats. Theyve got an incredible selection of wines by the bottle, wines on tap and wines on machine - yes, you have to see it for yourself. Everything was incredible, from the staff to the cozy, rustic decor. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

My fiancee and I are frequent visitors here. The atmosphere, especially when the fireplace is lit, makes for a very quaint and cozy environment. The wine selection is amazing. They dont have it all the time, but our all-time favorite wine is called Sexual Chocolate, a deep red wine that makes your stomach melt with joy.

There is no place Id rather drink wine! The customer service reminds you theyre a local business, the wines are expertly chosen, and they have the perfect atmosphere for any wine night with a group of friends or for a romantic date. Plus the wine club is an awesome way to learn more about wine.

Very unique set up and nice atmosphere. Once the construction is done it’s going to be a perfect location and the parking should improve. If your looking to try multiple wines with a knowledgeable staff and very low pressure, this is perfect for you.

Ruby Tap has an eclectic selection of wines, both on tap and in their dispensers. They also have a solid selection of meats and cheeses, and the almonds seasoned with sea salt and rosemary (that grows out back) are awesome.
