Despite the reviews warning of bad service, we decided to try Silo anyway. I have never regretted coming to a restaurant so much. After we were seated the waitress came by and we order three deep dish pizzas and enchilada soup. A couple minutes later the waitress dropped off the soup and walked away. The soup was very very good and I wish we would have only ordered that. After waiting for about a half an hour our waitress came up and said that another waiter had given our food to another table and they were remaking it. She said it would be there shortly and gave us one of our pizzas right away. We finished the pizza and waited another 15 minutes. At no point in the meal did the waitress come to check on us or refill our drinks. A busser filled my drink once during the meal but that was it. The restaurant was not that busy and the waitress only had two other tables. Finally she came and dropped off our food. She gave us an extra pizza although we didnt really want it and left the table. After we quickly ate our pizzas we waited another 15 to 20 minutes for her to drop off our check. She walked by our table multiple times but seemed to ignore us. Both of our waters were empty and we were waiting for the check and she did not seem to check on our table at all. The waitress dropped off our check and quickly apologized and gave us a 3 dollar off coupon that we could have printed from online for our troubles. After this we got up to pay and the owner was at the front as the cashier. I told him our waitress gave us a three dollar coupon because the service was very poor and it was disappointing. The owner said "thats too bad" and swiped my card. I have never been to such a terrible restaurant and I would be joyed if it were closed. There is no reason someone should have to eat here if customers are treated so poorly. I am going to rate this restaurant 1 star solely because there is no option to rate the restaurant 0 stars. I really really recommend you to spend your money elsewhere. There is a much better McDonalds and Panera in the area that would be much much better in every way.

The new owner is rude, obnoxious and absolutely unprofessional. Weve been coming to the Silo for over 35 years. Never again. A month ago we ate inside. Poor service and the food seemed different. Not as good. We figured it was due to the new ownership and staff. Tonight that was confirmed. We ordered a large amount of food by carry-out. The person on the phone repeated the order back correctly. When I got home there were items missing. I called and the individual who answered the phone yelled at me saying they (the Silo) didnt forget anything and that I was wrong. I have my receipt as well as my credit card receipt. I said I would come back for the missing items. Not even 10 seconds after hanging up, Dave (the new owner) called me, swearing and said not to bother coming back. I could not believe that an owner would call my home and yell at me for a mistake he made. He continued to yell at me on the phone saying dont bother coming back, ever! He then hung up on me. I returned to the Silo to meet Dave in person and he was the most obscene, rude individual I have ever met. When the original owners, followed by Sandy and Larry ran this place, there was never a mistake nor the rudeness of this individual. Ive heard bad things lately about the "new" Silo and its new owners but now personally know what others have been talking about. Good luck in the restaurant business. Oh by the way, an individual who witnessed this happened to videotape the conversation and gave me a copy.

Our company has been ordering lunch from the Silo for 18 plus years....but no more! Yes they have great pizza but the service or lack there of since the new ownership is horrible! We place a take out order at least once a week and 9 out of 10 times its wrong, or something is missing! For example, we ordered a Silo Salad with extra dressing last week, they made sure they charged us for the extra dressings but forgot to put the salad with the order. I called to complain, they said we would get a free salad the next time we ordered...well its not exactly free because I had already paid for a salad I did not get. I placed an order today, had the girl who answered the phone read it back to me (luckily) two of the requests I made she did not write down so again if I did not have her read back the order to me it would have been wrong again! Confusion again about the "free salad" she said we already used it. I said we had not and also wanted to be refunded for the extra dressings charge. No dice, there was not a manager there to approve it. Never again, we are done. I just received my last order from the Silo and guess what, I ordered a salad with the dressing on the side...they gave me dressing on the side and on the salad! Truly they are the worst! They are unapologetic and act like they are doing us a favor!

Based upon previous reviews we were excited to try Silos pizza. However the experience was anything but satisfying. Upon our arrival we were seated in a loud portion of the restaurant where it took over 10 minutes to be greeted. We ordered two specialty thin crust pizzas and garlic bread. For $5 the garlic bread was burnt, greasy, and with some unidentifiable topping and absolutely no dipping sauce. We kept hope that the pizza would improve the experience however we were disappointed by that as well. Although thin crust, the middle was completely undone. On top of that the toppings were a disgrace. The southwest pizza has such minimal chicken topping that our waiter had to closely inspect to find the 3 pieces of chicken present. Overall both styles of pizza were tasteless. Hoping to end the experience, our waiter was no where to be found. Another waitress had to cover for him but no one came back to collect the bill for upwards of 15 minutes! The back of our waiters shirt read: "Life is too short to eat cheap pizza." I disagree. Life is too short to pay $30 for disgusting food and rude service. Stay home, make a frozen pizza, and save your money.

We ate here recently, only choosing The Silo because of their big gluten-free-pizza banner hung outside. The servers were unable to tell us anything about the crust and actually gave us wrong information. We ordered 3 gf pizzas and one of them came out with a regular crust. I only realized it after serving it to my family. The pieces were cut into squares rather than triangles and the tin was different. Neither the waitress, the manager, nor Larry Pike the owner actually understood the gravity of the situation. Diners eat gluten free for health reasons and serving this community must be done with care and attention to detail. Merely offering us a new pizza was not enough- serving this pizza to us when my son has celiac disease put him at serious risk. None of the 3 expressed any alarm or concern for their careless mistake. It seems that all Larry Pike wants is a piece of the gluten free dining out dollar rather than to safely serve the gluten free community.
