I brought my "Baby" to the Lake House yesterday to celebrate the Fourth of July today. I was rather offended when Mike the bartender more or less laughed and told MeRAK that my love child of Sandra Annette Bullock was not of legal age to drink. Imagine that... a robot assembly of the Mississippi M.I.M.A.L column buss from Louisiana up to ITs Iowa head was not of age to consume the beautiful atmosphere. What the! ... well I guess that Mike a patron saint of soldiers is one to conquer Satan. By my observations he does this with a six pack of Schweppes Ginger Ale whereas one of the baby sized bottles is separated from its plastic ring, or "yoke" to represent a whip leaving the other 5 digits as a manifestation of his hand thats the Genealogy of the family name. So (echo) that means that approx. 3.107 million folks/ the population of Iowa went dry that night due to Mike the Bartender. Its all good though as The Khayat Lake House has my heart since the Signature Buffet $21 and Create Your Own $27 are number prices on their menu that are synchronous to both Sandra Annette Bullocks and mine whereas my diamond voice (April) channels her sacred silica basilica lion heart. Huh... I wonder what by bud Kevin thinks of the marsala on the Rotissue Platter.

My wife and I stopped in once for dinner. The food was good and the service was average. On another occasion, we decided to have dinner again. We stood by the door waiting to be seated. There was nobody around. I looked around the corner to see how crowded the place was; the dining room was empty, but the bar was full (3:45 - 4:00). After waiting about 4 minutes, with no staff in sight, we decided to leave. Half way to the car, someone yelled to us, asking if we wanted a table (no thank you). It appeared that the game on TV was more important than the customers. Wont be going back.

My wife and I stopped here on 8/13/17 at around 1:30 pm in the middle of a light 20 mile bike ride to have a beer and share an appetizer.. After a small wait were seated on the patio (they were not busy). 5 minutes later a family was seated next to us. 5 minutes after that they got water and ordered drinks. (we still have not been waited on). 5 minutes after that we left. 20 minutes, we went to donnelys across the street, not as nice, but good food.

Food is overpriced, drinks specials are okay, similar prices to other bars, went on a Sunday, service was slow to get order in and to receive food. There wasnt too many people and it was one bartender serving every person, location, atmosphere is all fine, but the food wasnt anything that stood out and the food was just warm. Would give it another go maybe in the dining room this time.. just to give it another shot.

The ambiance is wonderful. Our server was very attentive and made us feel like the only guests in the restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed the fresh salad bar and bread. My steak was to die for. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. I have saved this restaurant is one of my favorite places in the next time that we are in the area we will definitely go out of our way to come back.

We love dining here! Weve never had a bad meal. The salad bar rocks and is the only salad bar in the relative area. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Nightly specials and Sunday Brunch have a lot of variety. Coupons can be found in local paper and can make an expensive meal very reasonable.

We had our rehearsal dinner in August at Lake House. The manager made the entire planning process very easy for us. The staff was so helpful at our rehearsal dinner and the food was delicious! We received a lot of compliments from our guests. Thank you to everyone who helped out!

Gave my reserved table away. I had a reservation for 7, I showed up on time, they gave my table away, it was nearly an hour later by the time we got a table, and by then the band we came to see was nearly packing up. Good food and cocktails, the older woman manager was a joke.

Great salad bar and soups! Regular entrees are good too. Decent beer and wine lists and a nice bar to watch sports. Nice pictures of military service members throughout the restaurant was a nice touch. Outdoor seating was bee infested so we chose not to sit out there.

Recently ordered two pizzas for pick up... staff only placed order for one, upon arrival, they immediately cooked another, and credited one full pizza... overall they recognized customer service and their failure, apologized, and proceeded with best foot forward.

I will not pay $32 for this sea bass dish again, potato was rotten and the fish flavorless. I talk to a manager and he gave 2 dollars credit, what a joke, also we noticed that because we are hispanics we got different treatment from the servers.

My family visited the Lake House after my Nieces boot camp graduation. The food was great, and reasonably priced. The staff was excellent. We will definitely visit again if we are back in the area!

Loved the live music. I had pasta it was mushy and very salty, I could not eat it. Glad I had the salad bar first. Would go there for drinks and music if i go bake to meet friends, not for the food.

I always order in and their service is great and all but I feel like the taste of their food is quite bland a lot of the times compared to many 5 star restaurants I go to.

Salad bar was lacking variety. It cannot be considered goemet, despite the menu saying so. Confusing atmosphere. A road house bar that thinks its an upscale restaurant.

Nice atmosphere. Relaxing. Quiet. Should be able to get a good lunch for less than 20 dollars. Really good salad bar and soup. I would visit again just for that.

Great service and atmosphere. One of the best places to eat in Chicago. If your looking for a place to have your Last Supper, this is the best place to go!!
