I have visited the Lagrange BAB several times(its closest), so I dont think it is my imagination that they arent the friendliest folks in town. They barely speak, dont smile, and dont offer up any information. ie, Ive never gotten any utensils with my entrée. If they have any, they are hidden. You may not need them for a burger but, some of the food is not meant to be eaten with your fingers. Ive looked around and havent seen anyone with utensils. The coffee people get a skinny stirrer. I havent seen them smile or act halfway friendly to anyone. The burgers are okay for the money. The fries were nothing special- too skinny and not crisp at all. However, their chocolate malts are to die for. Sometimes I come in just for that. In contrast I went once to the Elmhurst location- very friendly, helpful staff, lots of smiles. I couldnt find utensils there either but, was too intimidated at the LG location to bother to ask here. I now carry a set of disposable utensils with me - no joke. Yes, I am a wimp.

Very disappointed after reciving our burgers mine wasnt cooked all the way brought it back up to the frount and ask to have it cooked so that the burger was cooked all the way I was told they couldnt do that and I would have to substitute it for a different burger when that burger arrived they failed to give me the frys I had paid for that were on the original plate.I also had to ask for manager to get the money returned that they overcharged me for the substitution There are plenty of much better place to eat in LaGrange dont waist your time or money at this restraunt

Its a great menu - the burgers and sandwiches are creative if you like gourmet style burgers, but you can always just get yourself any kind of basic burger. Some people complain about high prices; in my opinion, you get what you pay for, and the quality of their food is worth the slightly higher prices. Ive never had a bad meal here - the staff are friendly, the food is great, plenty of seating, and the ambience is cool. Great casual dining for family or if youre grabbing food & drinks with friends.

Checked out this local spot I pass everyday by the Lagrange metra stop. I looked online to see if what vegetarian options they had. I decided to create my own veggie burger and gotta say the have some nice toppings to pick from. Im pretty picky when it comes to trying veggie burger because most place just tend to be same bland patties. The back alley homemade patty was decent and had a good flavor to it. Ill def be coming back to check out other things on their menu.

Let me say this, I was so impressed with the food and level of service on my 1st interaction that I drove miles just days later to enjoy the experience again...only this time the owner Chris was here and he put the topper on the cake. He politely brought me a complimentary Vanilla Shake to my table just for "trying them out"... Theyve won my business for a lifetime! This is the type of management that fast food restaurants should study and learn from! AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!

Terrible burger for the cost, fries werent good ether. Everything had a bad after taste to it, as if it was sprayed with a bleach bottle. Soda had low carbon in it making it flat and hard to drink. The only thing I enjoyed was the ice water. It would seem that the meal was cooked correctly, but the products were given less care when choosing. Great technique, no awareness of quality components.

Not worth it. They promise a fancy delicious burger for a premium price. What youll get is a long wait, mediocre food, and a feeling of disappointment. A decent gastro pub/bar&grill is able to produce a better quality burger but it will be less fancy. If you want a fancy delicious burger, theres a couple of great options nearby in Brookfield.

Actually really good! Theres a lot of different "better than fast food" burger places popping up, and this is one of the better ones. My wife and I were a big fan of Smashburger next door for awhile, but recently their quality has been dropping so we decided to give this place a try. Well definitely come back!

The appearance of the restaurant was generally pleasant but the staff seemed disaffective and apathetic. To make things worse, my boyfriend had a huge chunk of hair in his ice water. The staff gave him a new water but there was only a tepid apology and no other attempt at reconciliation.

As a person who hates cookie cutter burger making where the ingredients are the seasoning, this place is a breath of fresh air. I had the "Bottomless pit" and it was a great burger for my first time being here. I will return to try out the rest of the menu.

I only had the original burger...nothing fancy. It was delicious! Next time I will definitely try one of their other creations. Wish I knew about the secret menu on the wall before I ordered...there are some yummy things in there.

The burgers are good and the shakes made to order. The special burgers are hit or miss depending. Service is generally quick and the place is clean. Check them out if you in the area and looking for more variety in you brugers.

The Burger was Very good!!! I got the mushroom swiss 1/2lb, the fries are good just small and pitely, only complaint is its expensive my burger was 9$, fries and drink are not included, staff was cool no complaints there.

Great burgers and fries. All of their beef is grass fed. Good selection of burgers and if you cant find one you like they have a build your own burger. They also have my favorite coleslaw and the best milkshakes anywhere!

Burgers are overpriced! $15 for a fry and Burger, Underseasoned beef patties, food had no flavor, wish i had had something good to say, but am filled with nothing but disappointments, please save your time and money

They have amazingly cooked burgers and the BAB (Back Alley Burger) sauce is delicious and tangy. The portions are a bit on the large side but if youre looking for a big lunch then this is a great burger place.

Great location near the train stop. We didnt have the burgers but we did have salads and sweet potato fries. All was good but the beer selection was great. Had a cold IPA that made my day.

The key to this place is toppings. Their burgers are sort of bland by themselves, but the wide variety of specialty burgers makes it worth the stop! The service was fantastic.

Nothing extraordinary. Burgers are competent, shakes are good, good beer options, sides are blah. Dont go out of your way, but rather spend money here than smashburger.

Good place if you are craving unique burgers and/or you have young kids. The shakes/malts are good and they have craft beers and wine available for adults.
