The theme and environment feels ok. The reason why I have it 3 stars and not 5 is because one of the bartenders does not seem to like people of other races other than Caucasian. I watched her as she treated guests very nice, but she got to me she was really short with her answers. I asked for a menu and she threw it instead of handing it like a person who is supposed to be customer service oriented. For example, I asked about the soups available and all she said was "soup of the day" in a not so friendly tone so unless theres a new soup that I dont know about called "soup of the day" this to me felt like she didnt really like me. Well, she finally confirmed it when she asked another staff member to take my order but she did not hesitate to take my buddys order who is, like her, Caucasian. The only reason I would return is because it is in the same parking lot as the hotel I am staying in.

Great atmosphere here, yall! From our perspective of weary travelers that were looking for a fun, family friendly, delicious dinner stop...Timothy OTooles is the SPOT! Kid selections and adult meals were all GREAT. Our server was fantastic & the food memorable. Will definitely make this a regular stopping point for all our future travels! I ordered their fish dinner (sorry, no pics cause the 7 y/o dug in too fast) which was crispy, hot and oh-SO yummy, my daughter ordered their home-made mac n cheese that was more like this super creamy cheesey deliciousness, #vacayfood4reals and my son opted for the cheese fries as his entree...as you could see in the photo! **That burger tho...husband really nailed it with his choice, cause it was DA BOMB!

Never have I received worst service than at OTooles in Gurnee. I received a coupon from Six Flags and thought I would get a nice deal, it was the complete opposite. They did not honor the coupon and charged extra. It was a monday night and kids ate free as it said on their menu, but they charged us anyway. Our server rarely ever came to the table to refill drinks and never cleaned anything up. I am outraged at the terrible service at this restaurant and advise anyone to stay away. To top it all off, we spoke with the manager and he refused to listen to us and just added more onto the bill. If you want to waste your money on decent food and receive terrible service then Timoth OTooles Pub is just perfect for you.

Very unimpressed! My family and I were hoping to have a good dinner after having overpriced hotel food, what a mistake. The cream soup was ice cold. We sent it back without any complaints. My daughter then received her pasta, which again was ice cold. We are not ones to complain about food, and the server was very nice but this was ridiculous. We sat and tried to finish our meal only to recieve a $90 bill. Nothing was taken off for the awful service. We left unhappy and will never return. Do yourself a favor and go to Mcdonalds across the street at least your food will be hot! Definitely not my idea of good Irish food....

Best beer bar and tavern in Gurnee for sure. The beer list is extensive and constantly updated. Bartenders are knowledgeable which is definately a plus for craft beer rookies. Ask for samples if youre not sure what to order. Food menu has come along nicely. Among our favorites are the ban mi sandwich careful-spicy as well as the irish nachos French fries covered in cheese, bacon and green onions, served with a side of sour cream how could you go wrong? On any given weeknight there is something fun going on at o tools such as trivia or karaoke. Go ahead, grab some friends and join the fun. You wont regret the visit.

Not welcoming to foreigners. I went here with a group of people, one of which was from Germany. The bouncer spent a long time reviewing IDs and wasnt sure what to do about the German ID he didnt recognize. He finally let us all in and then came back 20 minutes later and said we all had to leave. I asked if I could stay to finish my drink and was reluctantly told ok. When my drink was taken away from me while I wasnt looking I asked the waitress and she sent the manager over who very rudely and abruptly told me to leave or hed call the police. Definitely never going back to a place that doesnt accept foreigners.

We waited 20 minutes for a table for 7 when there were clearly tables that were available immediately. When we asked, the hostess said the delay was due to the inexperience of a new waitress. What?? Once we were finally seated, we were not served water, the food took ridiculously long to arrive, and the order was incomplete. The waitress was not rude, she was just not very good at her job. Why is the manager not doing his/her job and overseeing this? The hostess, on the other hand, was rude, and should not be allowed to work in the service industry in any capacity. This establishment should be embarrassed.

Alexis was my server started out very well! Then went down hill! Ordered my beer it came out warm, ordered water with lemon, no lemon. Order a 10 wing appetizer and bucket of chips, noticed only 9 wings and advised Alexis and her response was "only 9 thats weird." After that she came back and I ordered another beer that was also warm. I know that the 9 wings instead of 10 MAYBE TRIVIAL, BUT A SORRY OR A LITTLE CONCERN WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE! After I said something about the wings she hardly came by except to bring the check.

I felt bad for the bartender, because she had to put up with a drunk lady making a scene about how Yoshi doesnt wear a helmet in Mariocart. The bartender looked like she was making some tasty drinks. Our server on the other hand decided it was a good idea to yank her hair loose upon greeting us at our seats. I never got her name, utensils, and had to ask twice for ketchup. The hair in the burger was not a nice touch to our first experience here.

Stopped in to meet a few friends. I would prefer much more eye candy than I seen on that occasion. Ill probably give it another try in the future. I will rate this experience 1 star below the highest possible because I left without a picture of someone beautiful. I have been blessed with unparalleled vision for deer and evil! We went here (in Gurnee) for the first time last night and really enjoyed it for all the reasons in the title of my review. Fish and chips were light and flaky, cajun burger very yummy, and kids enjoyed mac and cheese and the meatball casserole. Great value, nice atmosphere (loud enough to bring little kids to without feeling self-conscious) and Oberweis next door for dessert!

Beer selection is awesome, food is ok. I recommend the Lil Sumpin Sumpin on tap, and to order food off of their "Specials" menu if you see something you like. Best bar in Gurnee area hands down. I guarantee that if/when you ask the people who gave this place less than 3 stars for a better bar to go to in the Gurnee area, they wont have an answer. This is the spot to go to.
