I had a Chicago dog and the Italian Beef and Sausage combo. The Chicago dog was just a normal Chicago dog, nothing outstanding but it wasnt bad. The Italian Beef and Sausage combo was on a really soft roll and was smothered with mozzarella cheese. The Italian beef had the right amount of spice, but I didnt really care for the sausage as much. Next time Ill probably just stick to the Italian Beef. Overall, not a bad place for a quick bite to eat.

Stars are COMPLETELY based on the food. The service is neutral at the best of times, but mostly theyre rude and make you feel unwelcome. It would be one thing if this were Weiners Circle and you expected the staff to treat you like crap in kind of a joking way, but it isnt. For the prices being charged, I feel the staff at GL could take a cue from either of the Round Lake or Lake Villa locations and learn a little about customer service.

I come here a lot so why only three stars...I usually order the Big Sam burger without pickles, tomatoes and mustard. The hamburger patty lacks some flavor. The fries sometime are crispy and sometimes not. The coca cola fountain drinks do not taste exactly right, not sure if its the water or syrup.

Dont get the chicken sandwich..... it tastes like they cooked it the day before, let it sit out all night, re-heated it to room temp and slapped it on a bun. This wasnt just a one off. Three different times i got the chicken it tasted like that..... never again..... hotdogs and fries are good

No matter what I order from here it is always delicious. The staff are great and really hustle during the lunch rush. Its nice to eat there and know they will have a smile on their face and appreciate you business. Prices are still reasonable considering the portion size and freshness.

Ive been to many fast food and hot dog joints. My experience at Sammies was bad. The hot dog was hardly even luke warm. The girl at the counter wrote down my order wrong. Compared to all the other places around, they are at he bottom of my list.

Greasy authentic American burgers, dogs, Italian beef, gyros. I realize the last two arent "American", but they are staples around here. Decent food, place was reasonably clean, reasonably priced.

The lady that took my order gave me a different total from what it was when I picked. When I questioned it she said " I dont know" as she shrugged her shoulders. Food was good, service sucked!
