Lets sum it up: this place makes Dennys on 41 look like Walker Brothers. The amount of food was my biggest gripe. If you are looking for a decent adult -sized meal, this is not the place. My moms food looked like the cook couldve heated up a Banquet frozen dinner back there and put it on the plate. Her "pot roast" was unappetizingly shredded like she mistakingly ordered carnitas. The kids didnt get apple sauce since the guy said they hadnt been ordered yet by the restaurant. My grandmother ordered an omelette that came with a couple pancakes. The guy asks if she wants syrup and butter, when thinking about it now...seems kind of strange, since Ive never been asked that at any other IHOP or diner or breakfast place. Like no, Im going to actually wrap up my omelette with it. Low and behold, he brings out a little to go sauce cup with syrup. Kind of strange again. Then I look at a couple of the surrounding tables and notice these same pre-portioned syrup cups being utilized as well. WHY. Nonetheless, Im somewhat glad I ordered a soup and an overpriced half filled plate of fries. Oh yes, and we had all ordered tea and the guy fills a coffee carafe and the initial first cups we all poured were all tinged brown. I open up the carafe thinking, are the tea bags in there already? No, definitely not - thats just coffee stained water! I wish the guy couldve just done a thorough rinsing of the carafe and it wouldve really fixed this problem OR just take the time and fill each persons cups as needed. Our server overall was very nice, tried very hard to be accommodating but he couldve looked a bit more clean cut with a shave and a wash of the hair. As a previous server, you need to be somewhat mindful of the fact that you are the individual handing off the food and drinks these guests are consuming - PLEASE make it look like you care about your level of cleanliness and personal maintenance. No, and you cant say, "this is just IHOP" - your appearance shouldnt remind me of my unappealing coffee stained water. Somehow, some way, the Skokie IHOP location beats this one out of the park in several ways. It looks like whoever is managing this location is sitting there thinking up the ways to save a buck or two - in the long run, I would never come back. I just cannot excuse the kiddie-size food portions and portioned out syrup. Oh, and for the love of God, PLEASE turn on the heat in there - it is now autumn in Chicago, raining every other day - people come in half wet and the last thing I want is to feel the AC blowing on me. I hope corporate comes in and helps this place ASAP.

At first I was super apposed to dining at this IHOP location given surrounding competition, and the time which was 10 pm. The conditions for breakfast food could not have been worse. However as I entered this wonderful location my negative attitude left. Our server was great and the food was outstanding. Could not have asked for a more robust meal given the international territory. There is a lot of hate for this restraunt and thats just people who have no chill. All in all there is pretty much no better place to dine on 2 large meals for only 20 dollars. Much love -anonymouse reviewer.

We visited I HOP today in Glenview Il. for breakfast, well I recommend that people stop going there the Tables we filthy, filthy. My husband did not want me to tell the manager. Ok Then the food came it was Ice cold and we had 2x2x2s we each had the same dish. The bacon was good it was well done as we requested, but the eggs were cold and the pancakes we cold and like rubber. ONly one pad of butter for two pancakes not enough. Service was good and friendly also. But the Coffee Pot was dirty also and did not look good. I lost my appetite and couldnt wait to leave.

IHOP doesnt have the best food, but usually its decent food, relatively quick, and a good price. The food here wasnt bad, pretty much what youd expect. And the price was good. But the service was SOOO slow and there wasnt even that many people in the restaurant. The waiter kept apologizing when he delievered the food to people, but that doesnt take care of the problem. If I was at the Original House of Pancakes (aka OHOP), Id forgive the wait because the food is AWESOME, but to wait that long for so-so food is inexcusable.

Wait staff seat people out of order, and have no clue on managing a wait list. When confronting them about it, i got a laugh. This place needs to get organized. Ive had better service at McDonalds. The waiters didnt seem to speak fluent English. I had to ask for syrup twice, and water three times. When it arrived, it was in a ration size cup like others reported. What the hell is that all about?! This IHOP is an abomination to the chain.

Service is poor. We ordered a soup appetizer and some main food. We had a long waiting time before we got our soup.I ask what happen to our appetizer I got answer o OK. Then he came back and ask if ordered want now or when the main food be ready. I remained him that those are appetizers so there should be before main food. He said OK but I took a long time to get them. I received it a 5 minutes before main meal...... Not acceptable.

I love this IHOP. I take my children here once a month or so. Dont listen to the haters that complain about the service being slow. You need to set your expectations right. It usually takes me about 40 minutes from the moment I get in to the moment Im out, which I think its perfect for a restaurant like this. Im definitely coming back. And the pancakes are great!

Terrible from the beginning. Couple of kids hosting and had zero idea what they were doing. Took about 20 minutes to take my order and I was by myself. Chocolate milk was about 90% chocolate and 10% milk. Service was non-existent and was surrounded my tables that were still waiting.

I read the reviews and wasnt very eager to come here. Im glad I did. The place was clean, service was good. Food came out within minutes. The place was packed, but the servers were on top of it. (Not just ours, but all of them, at the next tables) Well come back.

This is the worst IHOP Ive ever had the misfortune of entering. They ran out of spinach and mushrooms. When the food finally came, the pancakes were cold and the eggs were prepared the wrong way. Just avoid this poor excuse for a greasy spoon.

I was there at night time and we got there 30 minutes before they closed after they close at 12:00 the manger came that they were closing and we had to pay. We went even done. They were kicking us because they were close.

Burnt the bacon and served it to me and my kid. That burnt bacon went past the cook and the waitress, onto my table. Odd experience. Waitress was nice, but off experience all together
