Was there on a Sunday night, a party of 9 which included a 7 year old. The food, for the most part, seemed to please everyone, but mine was HORRIBLE! I ordered the duck with white bean cassoulet. The duck was so over done it was dry. Imagine! Dry duck! It wouldnt have been so bad, i would have been happy to order something else, but the waitress never bothered to ask how things were on our side of the table. I heard later from my relatives on the other end she asked them how things were but never us on our end. None of us heard her. She walked by several times and looked at my nearly untouched plate and I tried to get her attention, but she never stopped or even asked. It wasnt until she was clearing plates that my husband asked her to remove it from the bill. She was very argumentative with him and said that she had ASKED but we never said anything. My mother in law stepped in and said she never asked us... If it werent for the bad service by an inept waitress (the restaurant wasnt that busy) I might have rated it better despite the overcooked duck. Even my Brother in law, who is a chef, agreed it was way overdone. Because of this experience, I wont go back. Mistakes get made....but its how you handle them that makes the difference. In this instance, the waitress caused a loss of a customer by her indifference to a problem Call me crazy, but if you walk by a table FIVE times and look at someones plate, untouched, you STOP and ask...dont just ignore the customer as shes trying to get your attention.

Avoid if you have food sensitivities and might be lured by their offering of grass fed beef. Now, it might just be this one server, but had a very bad experience last Saturday at 3pm when the place was empty save for 4 tables. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated. I was with a party that has food sensitivities and the waitress seemed not only uninterested and annoyed in clarifying ingredients in certain dishes, she wasnt sure where the chef might be? Not sure who was cooking in the back in that case. She reluctantly went to look but we had that sinking feeling, got up and left and enjoyed a grass fed beef burger and outstanding service at nearby Harry Carays (who really really has their stuff together in dealing with food allergies and also served grass fed beef).

It was extremely loud. Our server left us waiting for long periods of time. We noticed that other tables were receiving the same appetizers with much more food on the plate, and they only had 2 people at the table, when we had 5. We also had reservations, but were put at a table for 4, with a chair on one of the corners. We watched as the rest of the evening tables were empty that could have far more comfortably accomodated our party. We were only served water one time, and then left with nothing to drink. Overall, the food was fine, the service and noise level was terrible. With the number of general oversights, we were convinced our server had never waited a table before in his life.

My boyfriend and I went to Glen Prairie the other day for dinner and it was amazing. They have high quality natural, organic, and local selections. The presentation and flavor of the food was excellent. Service was top notch. Beautiful, comfortable atmosphere. Its great to find such an excellent restaurant that I can trust to serve me high quality natural food. The prices were also reasonable. I will definitely return. Great experience!

The service was excellent. Jaimie, Oscar, and Edna, the servers made the visit over the holidays enjoyable. The other times we went there on our vacation, the food was excellent. They use locally grown and raised meat and produce which is a definite plus. Also, they have a number of denoted gluten free selections. We went back recently for lunch & Kathleen the server was great! The flour less chocolate cake was to die for!

Celebrated New Years Eve at Glen Prairie with their fixed menu. The restaurant is stylish with a nice, not too loud vibe. The food was excellent and the service was very good. If anything, the service tended toward being overly attentive. We look forward to going back soon to try their usual menu, which looks great.

Its a little weird. In fairness, we ate there early on an off night. The food was fine--we had the char and the skirt steak--but nothing special. Its a restaurant off of a hotel, and it shows. If youre planning a special night, I wouldnt pick this place. If youre looking for a fine weeknight dinner, go for it.

I drove an hour and 15 minutes just to get the French Toast here. I have paid double for French Toast that still wasnt this good. All of their food is organic and straight from local sources. I plan on coming back for lunch and dinner, but so far I have only been here for breakfast. Also, my server was great.

This has got to be the nicest restaurant around Lombard. Very nice and calming contemporary setting. You can get some great american classics like brussel sprouts and some really fantastic fish. I had the chorizo stuffed jalapenos and they were fin great. If you like fish the pike is mouth meltingly good.

We love Glen Prairie! The food is great and we always get great service and knowledgeable food suggestions. We love the onion soup, the turkey burger, the fish n chips and the brownie with salted caramel ice cream. If you like steak, the steak with the chimmichurri sauce is amazing!

Beautiful restaurant, great service and the food is amazing. I love the emphasis on local and organic choices when available. Not many restaurants in the local suburbs that put an importance on that. Whole, clean food and absolutely delicious.

One of our favorite places to eat! My family either dines in or carries out food from Glen Prairie at least once per week. Great healthy food options & most dishes can be served gluten free!

Third time Ive had breakfast here, completely underwhelmed. Stood at the door while two people walked past us, cold food, sat for a long time waiting for the check at the end.

Absolutely incredible. I recommend stuffed mushrooms, bison ribeye, and their creme brulee. Also, Two Brothers brews a proprietary ale for them. Not too pricey, either.
