Summary: Limp lasagna, seafood drowned in sauce, overcharges, excellent coffee. I took my wife here for dinner last night. Olive Garden was having a 2-for-$25 special, and my wife loves Olive Garden, so this was enough to get us there. The soup and breadsticks were very nice. She had chicken-and-dumplings soup, I had pasta fazzul(sp?) and both soups were light, delicately-flavored and quite tasty. Then came the entrees: my wife had tilapia, shrimp and broccoli served on a huge plate and nearly underwater in sauce. In fact, there was so much sauce that it looked more like a soup than a main dish. Both the tilapia and shrimp were cooked well, but there was wayyyyyy toooooo muchhhh sauce and the delicate flavor of the seafood was lost. I had the lasagna. It looked delicious, but the "delicious" part ended there. Lasagna should always be prepared with the pasta al-dente (chewy and firm) because a big part of the presentation of lasagna is the preservation of the layers. This poor, limp lasagna pasta had been cooked until it disintegrated and was then interred into a sad, soggy bed of insufficient Ricotta cheese, non-existent ground beef and tasteless tomato sauce. It made the lasagna a mixed goulash of ingredients instead of layers of pasta, cheese and meat. Not very enticing... In fact, there was so little meat in this dish that I asked our waitress for two meatballs on the side. Sigh...it was a mistake, too... The meatballs were tasteless as well, despite being drenched in a "savory meat sauce." After we finished our main course, I ordered coffee, expecting to be disappointed, but it was served in a carafe with cream on the side, and was absolutely delightful! Im fairly particular about the quality of my coffee and this was just... excellent! I recommend it highly. Because I wanted this occasion to be pleasant for my wife, I didnt complain about the lasagna, despite being asked by 3 separate non-waitstaff people how we enjoyed our meal. When the bill came, it was for $45. The extra meatballs were $2 each, the coffee was $5, and the 2-for-$25 was really 2-for-$36!!! Once again, for the sake of my wife, I didnt complain, but I wouldnt recommend this Olive Garden to anyone. Pick another Italian restaurant instead.

The WORST, rude service ever of my entire Olive Garden experience. I was just there for lunch with my company. The table was dirty when we were brought to it in the first place. The server, Paul, threw the cup placemat on the table but It fell on the ground. He picks it up and puts it back onto our table like it does not matter. We ordered soup and salads. He brings the plate and It was dirty. I asked him to bring another, he brought another dirty plate. I wanted more vegies and meats for my soup. The server goes, " If I bring you more ingredients for yours, I cant get more for my other company on the same table." He almost yelled and shouted to us while there were many other customers sat by us. He then leaves and brings another soup which did not have ingredients like I asked him. He asks other server to get us more soup. To add more, my cup that had a tea was dirty from the beginning. We were very unsatisfied, disappointed, and felt discriminated and that was when the manager came by our table. He said he heard about the soup. We explained to him what happened and he said he will have different server for our table. The manager nor the server apologized for what happened. Whenever I come to the Olivegarden, I had a good service. This Olivegarden on Rand road in Arlington heights made me and my company really uncomfortable to the point which made me never want to visit this location ever again.

We have been to this restaurant a couple times. The food is good and service is excellent most times. The only thing is about this place is the customers were annoying the last two times we were there. It was so loud the last time we were there, we could not hear each other talk. We were there one other time where it was raining and people just could not walk the two minutes to get to their car. They had other people drive up to the front of the restaurant to pick them up. There were people standing in the doorway in the way to the outside. Meanwhile, I have to force my way through with a person in a wheelchair to go through the rain two minutes away to the car when these people could have easily gotten out of our way and gone themselves to the car. I didnt have the option of going to the car and pulling it up to the front to get him like these other people did. No, not at all because their 3 cars were sitting in front in the way. I didnt want to wait 20 or so minutes for them to get out of the way. People are so rude here and I have lived mostly in cities. The suburbs have all the disadvantages of the city without the advantages, and it can try someones patience when dealing with a handicapped person. When his leg has finally healed after a year, I may come back!

Olive Garden is a reliable brand. In terms of food and ambiance, you have a good sense of what youre going to get. The differentiation between one Olive Garden and the next is service, and this particular visit was one of the best Ive ever received. I have two kids (ages 4 and 6). The server treated both of them like adults: patient and attentive. He (I believe his name was John) gave extra mints in a takeaway box as a reward for finishing their meals - and said that I get final say on how much candy they get. He provided a bendy straw from the bar after seeing them have to bring the cups down to their bellies to drink. And though receiving that freshly-grated cheese is not intimidating to an adult, in can be for a child. He kindly shredded some on the side of my kids dishes to try it and welcomed their request for more later during the meal. I cant speak for the rest of the staff at this location, however this experience was top notch because of one employee who excelled at his job.

I personally feel that they have gone down as far as food quality that suppose to be Italian it doesnt seem to any where near to be a true or good Italian Restaurant. The Servers were quite friendly, nice and helpful so nothing against them. They even had a very hairy man that wasnt a paying customer wearing a Basketball Jersey that was just walking around the Restaurant disturbing the customers and slowing the people that worked there but the people that worked there did their best to work around him and ignore him I dont understand why he wasnt kicked out to be honest with you. But I think that will be the last time I go back.My daughter even brought up that shes seen commercials of The Olive Garden about their meals and then when you go there they dont even offer it on their menu.

This place is good but the service is horrible. We went for my wifes bday party. I had called ahead for a reservation and they said no reservation till 8.30 pm and when we went at 7.15pm, it was very crowded. We gave our name and waited for 45 mins and they never called us. In the end , when I inquired about it, they had written our name in a different paper and forgot about it !! We got a table immediately. The waiters name was anthony and he was horrible. When, we asked him about something in the menu, he was so rude. We ordered steaks and he got them wrong. The manager stepped in and he helped us well. The waiter again ignored us and he never came back. We went in search for him. I like olive garden but I will never ever go back to this place.
