This was our first time and last time attending a Red Robin (too bad because the Deer Park, IL location is a short walk from home). The Deer Park Mall Red Robin Restaurant is a scam. Clearly the store manager is under intense pressure from Red Robin HQ to improve profit margins such that staff is either trained in the following tactics or servers are rewarded for reducing extra costs. Tactics deployed include: 1) Not mentioning the bottomless fries (on entrees) and bottomless sides on childrens meals 2) When our 1 reorder of bottomless items was requested, it took 30 minutes to get. So long that by the time it arrived the restaurant was less than half full (but the waitress claimed innocence and that it was the kitchens fault). 3) Our bill was automatically charged an "entertainment fee" which I came to learn was for the table touchscreen device. What is clearly a scam is that: 3a) Upon arriving, we placed the device out of reach on the ledge so it wouldnt accidentally get touched, but we still were charged the "entertainment fee" 3b) the "entertainment fee" is placed on the on-screen tab such that it rolls-off the screen out of sight when you go to view/pay your bill. The waitresss reaction to each issue as it occurred was way too "rehearsed". We wont be walking back to this Red Robin or returning to any Red Robin for that matter.

My gal and I went to dinner at the new red robin. We both had a different Burger. Both of us said the same thing, there was no taste to the burgers at all. All in all we were pretty disappointed. Staff and environment were fine, no problem but the food was no good. Not good value at all. Unfortunately there are 10-15 places we know that have better burgers, so we will go there to get a gourmet Burger.

I normally have a great time at this restraunt. I recently had an exceptionally bad experience for a multitude of reasons. I filled out a survey, and was invited to do an additional survey but was disappointed on the follow up. It made me feel like the company was not concerned with my experience. An apology would have been appreciated.

I had to press the call server button after waiting 15 minutes from the time we were seated. The place was not busy, so there is no excuse. I know they were not in the back busy washing silverware because it was dirty. We were given a free appetizer for pressing the button. That is the only reason I gave two stars.

Pretty good chain location that now has some pricey burgers - if you upgrade the fries, you can get several burger entrees up over $16, quite a feat, even now. Still, lots of others that are more reasonable. No "entertainment charge" on our automated bill either!

Consistently good food and great service! This is one of our favorite date night choices. Burgers are yummy and creative. We tried their poutine appetizer and have to say it was the best weve had since leaving Canada.
