Never go to this place unless you want to be immediately insulted by the bartender. A friend and I walked in and asked if they hosted an open mic. My companion has Cerebral Palsy and therefore, trouble walking. Im Scotch-Irish and it was 90 degrees, so I was wearing my kilt. The bartenders first words to us were "Weve never had an open mic. I wont serve you, youre on drugs." So, if youre disabled, funny-looking, or carrying a guitar, get a drink anywhere else. The people at Spyners will hate on you.

One of the best dives in Lincoln Square. Karaoke 3 nights/week. Bartenders are friendly and remember you. Everyone is welcome here. Gay/straight/younger/older/hipster to hippie. Frequent BBQs and special events: open mic, fundraisers. Prices are reasonable. Feel like skipping that club scene for a night and want something with a neighborhood feel? Stop on by.

Lesbian bar full of angry patrons. The owner is always snobby and nasty with an attitude. The other bartenders are rather nice. Friday karaoke is good. On a rare occasion, youll have a good time. Its one of my least memorable spots. I only go because its local. Other than that, I dont recommend it as a favorable weekend night out destination.

My gay friend took me there for the Karaoke. I personally had a blast even though Im straight. Fun atmosphere. Ive seen one bartender be mean to partrons but not to me. She may have had her reasons. It is primarily a lesbian bar and if your a homophobe, you may not dig it. Great for groups of friends!

Great bartenders who introduce themselves and remember you after only a visit. Karaoke on the weekends which is not great, but provides a fun and silly outlet for some energy. Divey, lesbian frequented, and kind of fantastic.
