I am so disappointed in the customer service I received. After a price discrepancy I asked the waitress to check on it, she said there was nothing she would do (rudely) and that there was no manager I could speak with. After leaving no tip, the OWNER magically appears and asks me why I stiffed her waitress. Are you serious? Thats your concern? After being told I had no common sense and was being nit picky, in front of 20 of her customers, I can say I will never be going back to a restaurant I used to regularly visit. The owner attacked me from the beginning and only was concerned about her waitress; not a paying customer.

Party of six, told them we would take first available, seated on patio to find they cant carry pasta through the door to the patio! Automatic 18% tip for any party over five (its on the menu in microscopic font) I really feel like they stole $17 out of my pocket! HORRIBLE service, over cooked burgers ( medium should be pink) Im here on vacation & have eaten at Donckers twice so we wanted to switch it up..big mistake! HUGE! Stick to Donckers..they dont steal your money & their food is absolutely 1000 times better. This place is the worst!

First off, Portside is a great bar/restaurant that isnt an atmosphere for kids. I grew up in Marquette, and every time I come to Portside I always get the Chimichanga. The staff is very friendly. My family and I were regular customers who normally got the same thing every time, and we always ended up with the same waitress and she always remembered what we had ordered from weeks before. The menu is kind of a catch-all, but thats the type of restaurant it is. Simple food, simple flavors, and a friendly setting.

Went to Portside Inn while vacationing in Munising, because of the reviews we read online. We waited for probably 20 minutes but well worth the wait. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Jo was our server and what a great server she was. Friendly, great sense of humor, quick to refill drinks and any thing else we needed. Thanks Jo for a great experience and the service.

Easily one of the best burgers in Marquette!! The Nachos are are excellent. Great Michigan craft beer selection as well. Service has improved over the years as well although it seems like they really try to get you to the bar before getting seated. Ive been told theres a 15-20 minutes wait even though the table they sat us at was open the whole time we waited at the bar.

The employees do not care about you and are SO rude! There were two in my party and we could clearly see 3 open tables...they told us it would be a 10 minute wait which turned out to be 20 minutes! It took over an hour to get our entrees! The service was horrible and the food was mediocre! My family and I will not go there again!

Some menu items are fantastic and some are so-so. I love their breadsticks, chicken fajita pita and soup. Some of the sandwiches and appetizers are mediocre. Generally good service and food comes in a reasonable amount of time, but it definitely gets congested in there. Patio is awesome during summer!

I ordered the Fajita Pita. The vegetables tasted like sand, the beef was unbearable and the salsa tasted old, hold on, I think I am about to throw up... Service was not good either. on the other hand, my friend ordered the italian beef and it was great. stay away from the mexican food there...

A favorite place to meet friends when in Marquette for an evening. Its cozy, bustling, kinda noisy (but in a good way!). The food is really, really good, and the portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Weve tried many things, and they all tasted very good. I highly recommend it.

Waited 10 minutes to be put on wait list until another gentlemen walked in, then it was noticed that I was standing there. Tried one of their "signature" mixed drinks on the summer menu and the whitefish dip. Drink was too sugary and dip was dry. Didnt bother to stay and order dinner.

Of course, I love the breadsticks and I order them as soon as the waitress brings the menus. Its always a given that I will order them.I have tried several dishes and have never been disappointed. Love their wet burrito also!!

Most uncomfortable dining experience Ive ever had--the manager is a witch! Treated the employees so terrible; yelling at them in front of customers. OK food but Ill never go back to a place who treats people so poorly.

Great food, good local and micro beer selection. Sandwiches (which are huge) around $8. Dinner plates for around $15. Especially around move-in week for Northern, be prepared to wait a bit for both a seat, and the food.

Loved this places food. Breadsticks with their special garlic and cheese dip was the best Ive ever experienced. The burgers are really amazing and so is the calamari. Worth enduring any faults named by other reviewers.

Great food and service. I only wish they had highchairs or a booster seat for kids (to be fair, they have it in print on the front that they dont have any but we didnt see it). Really great place though.

It is always crowded at Portside, and for good reason. The service can get bogged down with the crowd, but the sandwiches and the soups are worth every second. Within walking distance most hotels!

Their cheese spread is ORGASMIC! Definitely go here and try it! It goes well on their pizza crusts or breadsticks. On nice days, they have outdoor patio seating with a view of lake Superior.

Fast friendly service. The best deep fried mushrooms in Marquette by far. Also had the small nachos which would truly feed 4 to 6 people, and they are delicious with the beef.

I love their breadsticks! The cheese spread is amazing. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because there isnt a huge menu selection.
