The atmosphere here is pretty modern and very cabin like. Very different from other bars which was nice. I liked that there were sofas for seating. I went around 9-10pm which didnt get packed at all. The Banger and Lace Rye thats aged for 2.5 years was my personal favorite. The price was not bad for one ounce for 8$. Our waiter knew the menu very well and gave us great recommendations. Next time I would love to try the Catcher and the Rye flight. We did try the deviled eggs which I thought was a little bit too much of flavor. I was thinking it was going to be more of a traditional devils egg, but it had its own touch to it. I probably would not order it again, but my cousin enjoys them. Overall, its a great bar with great alcohol selections.

The place has a great drink selection, quick and attentive staff, and nice ambiance. The problem: the menu. The menu is half the size it was when the restaurant opened, and systematically the best dishes have been dropped in favor of keeping a bunch of over-cooked bangers. Has taken a 5 star location to 3 stars. My friends and I have consistently been disappointed by the food options getting progressively worse. Both the variety on the menu, portion/price ratio decreasing, and quality of presentation has dropped.

Doesnt look like a bar on the outside... and doesnt really look like your typical bar on the inside either! I think Bangers & Lace is one of the coolest gastropubs in Evanston. The decor is really cool, with things like deer heads hanging on the wall. I love the house-made sausages! They have a great beer selection and their cocktails are okay too. Service is usually good. Only cons are it is a bit loud when its full, and they open at 3 or some weird time mid-afternoon (so you cant really go for lunch).

The cheese curds were the highlight of the meal, with a pleasant kick of heat, while not being too greasy. The interior decoration was very unique, but it almost appeared as if different decades and locations had all been combined into one. The extremely large, rotating selection of beers on draft was unique and exciting. The burger was unfortunately disappointing, it was undercooked, served on a soggy bun with no remarkable sauces or toppings.

Met a friend here for dinner. The interior is beautifully decorated, dimly lit, and cozy. I ordered the brussels sprouts (which they seem to have taken off their Evanston menu) and my friend got the hot links. Unfortunately, I wasnt impressed by either plate -- they were palatable, standard pub fare. However, the draft selections saved the day. Our waiter(s) had great recommendations, and I will definitely return for drinks, if not the food.

Good food, rustic atmosphere...it can get a tad noisy when its really busy, as there isnt a lot to absorb sound, though it usually isnt hard to hear people near you. There really isnt anything here for vegetarians or vegans (the general theme, as the name "Bangers & Lace" implies, is sausage and beer), but if you dont mind that detail, then this is a fun place to get some tasty food.

Ive been here a few times... They have a good selection of liquor for everyone. However, the last time I was there the manger was empty rude to me for no apparent reason. She never officially did last call and then wouldnt let me order an uber while sitting at the bar because they were closing. Yet there were still five minutes left until they legally had to have everyone out.

Really tasty food. We started off at the sidewalk table but ended up sitting next to the loudest bunch of ladies in all creation. So the server was kind enough to move us inside. Once inside, we really enjoyed the cool ambiance and the dim lighting that made everything look so hip. Foods great. Whiskey list is pretty sharp. Well be going back, for sure.

From the extensive, well-curated beer selection to the solid cocktail options, to the delicious neo-American food, Bangers & Lace is easily the best spot for drinks in downtown Evanston. Hipster in decor, music, and staff, this place can accommodate a large group for drinks, but call ahead if youre thinking dinner for more than a couple.

Absolutely the best bar in Evanston. They have great servers, amazing craft beer selection that rotates, and they can handle both after-hour work groups and parties. Very good ambience, and would be a great date spot! Their food, especially the specialty sausage plates and fried cheese curds are well worth the trip.

Casey the manager is rude. He makes inappropriate comments about patrons to other patrons. He does not create a welcoming or inviting environment. He is rude. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food is fair service is great aside from the rude manager, Casey. Stay away!

Very nice place. Good selection of drinks both hard liquor and beer. Interesting food, including the usual suspects. Unfortunately the bartender we had that night was extremely inappropriate at the very end. Left a bitter taste and doubtful that would ever go there again.

Great location! Randomly been to all 3 locations in the last 3 days (have been to the other two locations several times each). By far the most relaxing atmosphere and a solid beer list. Fun for rare/craft beers and good food.
