My first time there was last Friday (3/MAR/2017) . They were getting ready to Host a Fundraising Event . I met Mike (Owner / Master Chef - Incredibly Thoughtfull & Inventive) . Before I go any further this Man prepared , 4 - Unique & Tasty Personal size Pizzas . The Deal (For the Evening) was , for $15.00 you get some of this New Age Pizza Concoction . And some goes to the Benefactor De Jour (He does these Fundraisers Often) . I read in dnainfoCHICAGO earlier Friday about the Restaurant and Fridays Event . That drew me in , I had to check out the Restaurant with such a Cool A _ _ Name ! Also , a Business Model , Vested in the Community that made it Irresistible ! Let me Back Up a little , to the Pies . Im embarrassed I cant remember any of the Ingredients , of those Tasty Morsels . I remember this , most of the toppings werent normal pie condiments . Except that Crust ! That crust was a Hybrid Thin & Thicker pizza foundation . So , much so , Id go back just to Gorge on the Crust - De-lish ! Not a very big Venue , extremely Clean and Friendly , good stuff , GO !

Delicious house-made bread and sauces! I love how they keep the sauce varieties on each table so you can try with your meal before you buy. I got the breakfast sandwich and my Mom got the grilled cheese. Both were delicious! very homey place - communal water server and you put your own used dishes in the spot to be cleaned, etc. Love the homemade/community feel! Will be back for the food and bottled sauces!

Tastebud explosion! I had the veggie sandwich & was blown away by the flavor. The bread is delightfully warm & soft. My partner had the open faced focaccia which resembled a small pizza with smoked brisket & fried egg. The decor & vibe was eclectic and casual. Love everything about this place & will dream about the spread on my sammie! Nicely done, S&B.

They truly take pride in their work. Theres a fresh and creative look to the food. More importantly, its absolutely delicious! Try the grilled cheese or the Reuben. Theyre spicy with lots of flavor. Its byob, so grab a drink next door or bring some with you and spice up their bottled Bloody Mary or the lemon sassafras on tap!

SBK U GUYS ROCK! SBK is a traditional Midwest Breakfast. One of my favorite Brunch places in the city! Homemade sauces, pastries/breads, and warm brunch plates. All made in house. Great quick food for the week as well as coffee and bubbly water, which I love. The owners are extremely talented and amazing people.

This is the neighborhood cafe you wish was a block away from your own place. Great pastries, breakfast/sandwiches, coffee - art on the walls, cool people in the joint. Nice people serve you and let you sit as long as you like.

The cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich were both delicious. There are at least six sauces on the table to sample and the coffee is unlimited, making it a really fun place to sit and enjoy. Well worth a trip from downtown.
