Pretty good. I would have preferred it with more meat, smaller potato cubes so the filling holds together a bit better, a thicker crust on the belly of the pasty & no arugula. It looked kind of dry but it was actually nice and moist. Some might say its too greasy. The filling tasted like corned beef hash, if thats your thing. It took me back to growing up poor. This is the first one Ive ever had and its inspired me to find out if there are better versions out there. Update: I just tried my second Pasty ever from "The Pasty Shop " in Wisconsin & now I realize there are versions that are way better than this one.

Although my Michiganite friend rave over pasties, the ones from Grama Ts made me sick, last thing you want on vacation. The only good thing I have to say is that they were hot. Bad customer service, out of most of the things that were on their menu, most of the restaurant was closed off and looked abandoned except for the sign in the window. Pasties tasted like they had been sitting all day. We should have gotten the hint from the way they spelled "grama" and the T must stand for terrible! Good thing theyre in Nagaunee, or they would have stolen the "Old Ish" from Ishpeming!!

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and it was hands down the best meal we have had yet! Warm, delicious pasties...and not to mention gluten free pasties AND apple turnovers! For anyone with gluten allergies or Celiac disease, like myself, these pasties are phenomenal and the apple turnover is the perfect finish to a great meal! The owner takes extreme precaution when preparing pasties, and him and his wife both understand the need to use separate ovens, trays, utensils, etc. We absolutely recommend!

Not exactly local so I cant really say how good the pasties are compared to other shops, but theyre pretty good. Was also wonderful to find a gluten free option! Overall- 9/10 Meat pasties are good! Gluten Free fruit turnovers are good! Friendly staff and customers! Only issue was that the wait times were different between the meat pasties and turnovers, but luckily, neither got cold.

Very first pasties. Everything was very good. I had the chicken pot pie one and my boyfriend had the beef one. We also got a blueberry turnover. Very good. The 2 young ladies working were very friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

One of the only places around that has GF pasties, make sure to call ahead an hour before because they take a while to cook, didnt know this going in but know now! I had the meat and potato one, pretty good and really filling!

Best pasties in the UP as far as Im concerned. Meaty, and larger than youll get at some other places. Now offering fruit pasties (bought, but not yet tried).* *Tried them. Theyre delicious. Blueberry was my favorite I think.

I love these pasties so much, words are insufficient. I live in Chicago now (though I grew up in the U.P.) and anytime I come to visit my grandma in Republic I drive down to stock up on some Iron Town pasties.

Best Ive found in the UP. Crisp, flaky crust; quality authentic ingredients. Pasties had good flavor, though gravy wasnt savory enough. Excellent customer service.

Since the new owners took over, pasties are best in the county! They also have several non traditional pasties to choose from...the spicy pasties are fantastic!
