Over priced, coffee tasted weird, baked goods is no where I have expected, slow service - they forgot my quiche in the microwave and after I reminded them its missing an order I received a slice of quiche and runny with water on the plate..its been a while that I visited France, the baked goods here is no where close to it. The only thing good.. was the bottled lemonade...For people want a piece of France, this is not the place to go.

I really like the macaroons here. But its hard to get them to tell you which ones are old and stale. When you get one thats fresh, its the best macaroon youve ever had, but when you get a stale one and it cracks as you eat it, you feel real bad that you paid $2 for that cookie. Wish they had better quality control. The people are nice, just that they should take more pride in their work then giving a stale cookie out.

Their pastries are amazing and it is unbelievable cute inside. I love the pain au chocolate, and the eclair is pretty good too, though sometimes can be a bit too hard. Watch your wallet: The pastries will cost you a pretty penny. One downside is that this place is really small and I still havent managed to have a seat inside. Their coffee is kind of "meh" too, and service can be kind of slow.

Nice little cafe. Macaroons were good and the coffee was fairly good. Staff were friendly and good, even when my friend broke a glass. French music plays in the background. I didnt seem to have a problem finding a place to study, but it is a small space so it could fill quickly. But perching on a countertop looking out to the street was good for the afternoon. Tres bien.

Place is so busy that staff cant keep up with cleaning tables. As a customer, expect to scrub down your own table before sitting down. Coffee is great, though. Ive had the cafe latte and the mocha. The environment is also very pretty. I think if there was more staff, the place would be more welcoming. I probably will go back, but Id have to have a lot of patience.

When we visit our daughter at NU, this is our morning stop. As Europeans by birth we enjoy the excellent coffee and the good croissants, making the longing for France and its food real. We now feel practically part of the family ever since meeting la petite Coralie. Its all adorable! Thank you for being there. We will miss you after graduation....

Okay drink, polite service. The space is cozy with ornate furniture. I only got a iced thai tea but I personally didnt enjoy it (a bit bland and too creamy). Overall, it seems like a nice place to get a drink and chat quietly with a friend or maybe do some studying. But I probably wont be back for a drink any time soon.

Macaroons were hard and stale and flourless cake was just frosting. When we thought it might just be the flavor off macaroons that we picked another patron went up to the register and voiced their issue. While visually pleasing, unsatisfying where it counts.

Ive been here three times now. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is really great. The croissants are good (not top notch) and the pastries are beautiful and delicious. We like the macaroons, but they are inconsistent from flavor to flavor.

I really like this place for their tea and their fabulous desserts. The decor is really nice. The only setback is the owner seems intense with her employees. They dont seem very relaxed when she is around.

My favorite place to have a cup of cappuccino or tea (they have a great tea selection!) in Evanston! The stuff is always very friendly. I only wish they had a heavy whipping cream for my coffe.

Was very pleasantly surprised in finding a French bakery - coffee shop in downtown Evanston. Tried one of their French pastries and their coffee - both very good and the place is very cute!

Great French bakery. Delicious selection of deserts, smaller selection of real foods, mostly sandwiches but youll find something to eat. All their drinks are wonderful. Go here weekly.

I love the decor and had a very nice espresso drink and quiche-type pastry, but the place did seem a little cramped, like the tables and chairs were not organized well.

The coffee is very weak/watery. I have been many times in the past and it used to be much stronger. The price is the same but now it has way to much water in it...

Best macaroons on the Northshore. Everything is made fresh daily. Nothing goes to waste. The bread for the sandwiches is daily freshly made from a local bakery.

It has WiFi, the best sweets we had since arrival in the us, very good coffee, great interior, highly recommended (if only the staff was a little friendlier)!

An interesting slice of a French patisserie (pastries and a few savories) with a quiet, a little more buttoned up atmosphere. Good coffee too, Julius Meinl.

Nice place to get a morning pastry. Tres French. Coffee is OK, and they seem to have a ton of macaroons though I didnt try any.

Pastry items were a bit steeply priced, but they sure are tasty. Would come for boutique baked goods. Coffee was good too.
