I am not a vegan but I am dairy and egg yolk free so this is one of the few places I can get a bakery treat that fits my dietary needs. Woo hoo! Unfortunately they only have one flavor vegan cupcakes. Maybe in the future theyll have more. I dont know how they do it but you cant tell its missing traditional cupcake ingredients. They also sell custom cakes and you can watch these cakes being made while waiting for your delicious Metropolis coffee to go with your tasty cake. Everyone that works there is awesome and friendly. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood! #FallForCHI

I live in the neighborhood, and didnt notice this place until a friend visiting stopped in and brought back a cupcake from here that was absolutely out of this world! I stopped in weeks later, and again, had an overall amazing experience. Friendly staff and cupcakes that will make you wanting more!! I had a banana cupcake with chocolate frosting, so good! They can mix and match to whatever you prefer (from what I gathered) so dont be afraid to ask. I plan on ordering a birthday cake for a friend in the near future, and am confident it will be a hit. Check them out!!

One day I was craving a "feel better" sweet treat. I googled bakeries in my area and came across this place. I am so glad that I did. Its just a short drive from my apartment. The cupcakes were great. I had the red velvet and coconut. They were the perfect pick me up. Ive been back several times since then. The staff is friendly and helpful each time. No complaints!

Amazing, very easy process to order, online, great pricing, phenomenal cake. I mean this is the best red velvet cake I have eaten in my life possibly. The customer service is outstanding and they threw in a free cupcake. I cannot rave enough about this business. I will never buy a cake from anyone else again. I highly highly recommend this bakery

LOVE their cupcakes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The frosting is sweet, but not overdone like some of the other cupcake places around. Really cute shop. I will be returning. Note: If you have peanut allergies, they keep cross contamination to a minimum but there is always a small risk. I had no problems.

Best tasting cupcakes and frosting in my neighborhood and probably in Chicago! The Smores cupcake is my favorite...and the creme brulee cupcake when they are offering it. My daughters and I love going on Wednesdays for story time and coffee too!

This was the first time a sheet cake that I bought was fully eaten at one of our parties. Absolutely delicious! We ordered a vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting. I will always buy our cakes at Maddiebird Bakery.

Love the cupcakes! Our group goes there every Wednesday at 11 am for toddler story time. The staff are super friendly and the cakes they make are fabulous! Highly recommend this bakery :)
