I had visited this restaurant for the first time 3 weeks ago. I read the reviews stating the food is very good. Which I can attest this to my usual order of shrimp fried rice & egg rolls. I ordered something in a small, thinking it would be a little bigger than I expected. So I asked if I could upgrade to a large. Thats when the person servicing me in take out. Whom seemed like he already was frustrated about something. Goes you cant just expect us to upgrade to a large. What are we supposed to do? Youre going to have to order another small to make a large. It was $8.66 for the small & $11.99 for the large. So I leave & say maybe that person is having a bad day. I dont mind if youre having a bad day. I have them too! I order my usual today, egg rolls saturated in oil. I call & say you always give me great food. What happened? Do you not want my business anymore? So I assume the person I spoke with is the manager. Hes extremely offended with my question. I think it was the same person from before. Any way no more, for me.

If you are looking for cheap Chinese look no further. Recently ordered the dinner for two and in reality it could have served 4 growth people. The wonton soup was well seasoned and hot, surprisingly a good ratio between broth and wontons. The egg rolls were crispy and had a sweet aftertaste; almost as if they were fried in old donut oil. But not spectacular. The shrimp fried rice was good. It wasnt too greasy but still had a fulfilling amount of shrimp and eggs. The sesame chicken was ehh. Some of the prices just werent covered with sauce and had become soggy. This can be the result of picking the order up. Finally the chicken low mein. Worst of the bunch. Misleading title, I think we saw only a few noodles. It was just ehh. It only took 15 MN minutes to pickup, which is a little concerning because the food was most likely sitting for some time. But at this price point I couldnt care less. Dont expect anything fancy. If youre expectations are correct you will enjoy the meal, and the 6 hour after meal nap/ coma.

Delivery was very fast through door dash! This is our first time trying Mon Lung. The crab Rangoon was a little soggy and the oil used to cook them tasted a different than were used to. The General Tsos chicken was ok. The breading on it is similar to sweet and sour chicken. Different than were used to, But taste was pretty good. The combination fried rice was our favorite dish of what we ordered. Be aware it is a little spicy, but we enjoyed it. This restaurant has pretty good reviews, so were thinking we ordered wrong. Might try again and order differently. Overall, not our favorite Chinese place yet.

On May 12 at exactly 1:17 PM. I went to this restaurant by Ashland and Augusta. The lady casher was very very rude. I told her that I want to order shrimp broccoli. Then I realized that I just need the lunch special shrimp broccoli. She just really over reacted that I didnt tell her right away. And guess what? My order was so unpleasant to see. It was a mess. And looked liked they removed some of it. I was supposed to return it, but I had to go to work at 3 pm shift. So I decided not to return it. But throw it in the garbage. I ended eating subway.

WHAT A RIP OFF! Beware ordering online -- I purchase 4 menus for $38.50. Then there is an additional service fee of $3.47 and delivery for $4.99 plus another charge by the third party delivery of $7.03 which totaled to $53.99. I was surprise since I was used of ordering chinese cousine from other chinese reataurant and they will only charge for a flat rate of $3.00 delivery. I will never ever order online at Mon Lung.

Really one of the best for Chinese. Always fresh veggies and nice meats. Not fatty or oily. lots of healthy options if youre ordering smart. But they have everything for every taste. Take out is king here, but in restaurant service is great too. Great local spot and popular with cops too it seems. The wonton soup, bbq pork, steamed fish, and Hong Kong chicken are excellent.

I have never had a strongly negative reaction to a restaurant until now. Two dishes - the orange chicken and the hot and sour soup - tasted exactly like barbecue sauce. There was more fat than ingredient in both dishes, and the price was not that great for the quantity. It is the most convenient Chinese food restaurant to my apartment, but I know I will never go back.

In the Chinese desert known as West Town/Ukrainian Village/Wicker Park, this is the only oasis. And wow, is it ever good! There are several greasy carryout places in the area, but nothing is half as delish as this place. They have hands down the best Hot and Sour soup in the city AND the police eat there. That says something too. If only they delivered. . . .

Clean restaurant, fast and friendly service. We ordered crab Rangoon, pot stickers, egg foo young, and kung pao beef, food was high quality. Its kind of a relief to see restaurants offer small and large portions for two different price points. Portions are smaller than most Chinese restaurants but quality makes up for it. I will come back to eat here again.

Ive been walking past this place for over a year but only noticed it a few weeks ago. Last night I decided to try it and Im so glad i did. Ive been searching for a Chinese restaurant that compares to the ones i love in NYC and this place comes damn close. I think Ive just found my go-to dinner place when i find myself in this neighborhood.

I had ordered food from here, Kung pao chicken was just bland. Pepper chicken was horrible, it felt like they put chicken pieces in canned soup. also it smelled horrible. I ordered vegetable fried rice because my friend is vegetarian, but it was lot of chicken pieces. i dont know how can they get the order totally wrong.

Ive been on the search for a great chinese restaurant since I moved back into Chicago and this is where my heart landed. Food has great flavor and one male servers is always there with a thumbs up attitude. What one me over right away was the egg rolls.. they reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurants at home.
