I have eaten at the restaurant where the quality of food was much better than when I had it delivered. When delivered the boasted chicken was over cooked and dry. The mixed grilled vegetables were also over cooked and mushy. The first order of fettuccine Alfredo with chicken breast supposedly covered with baked mozzarella cheese turned out to be plain pasta with one corner of the dish with melted mozzarella and with a couple of pieces of chicken on the side. Id rate this a zero. When I order fettuccine Alfredo I expect the pasta to be tossed and covered in sauce. The chicken should be at least covering the top i.e.more than 2 pieces. The baked mozzarella should cover the pasta and chicken not just a corner. The reason I gave the rating that I did was the manager was quick to replace the pasta which was somewhat better but still lacking the quality I expect for the price.

Food was good, a little pricey, but service was terrible. I think there was one server for the whole restaurant, which she didnt mention to us at the time but this explained why she rarely checked up on us and why she got our order wrong. Water was only refilled if we flagged someone down (which we had to do twice). The food was unusually salty. We ordered a deep dish pizza, which though salty was good. It seemed to be a mix of a pan and deep dish pizza which was a nice change. We had 3 slices to take home, and our server decided it would be a great idea to stack the slices on top of each other in one box instead of putting it in multiple boxes. I didnt notice this until I got home, and was infuriated. There are better places in Chicago to go for a good experience and a good meal. Dont go here.

If you are looking for gluten free pizza, go to Lou Malnatis. Not only was the food medicore and the service subpar, but after expressing the need for gluten free multiple times, i asked if the eggplant could be made gf as a pizza topping and the server said it was fine. She seemed confused so I verified that the eggplant could be made gluten free and she assured me to just put it in the gf pizza. I then explained to her that eggplant is breaded and fried and she became confused. After asking a manager, decided that no, it was not gf. Ffs. The gf pasta was so overdone it was inedible. The pizza was ok. Nothing spectacular. Service and drinks were atrocious. This was the most disappointing meal of my Chicago trip.

Food was ok. Waitress got our appetizers wrong. But we chose not to say anything. We had to ask for utensils to eat. Before leaving the table we left a cash tip. Went to pay and proceeded to leave. Then while walking to our car, Im assuming the manager actually followed us and asked us why we didnt leave a tip in the space provided... I couldnt believe that happened. I told him well then anyone look at the table!! Hes like oh no, sorry then walked off. Never going there again.

Over priced & poor quality. Stay away from the alfredo unless you like mashed potatoe consistency piles of fondu cheese on noodles with a TON of butter under the noodles. I poured a full sidedish of butter out. Ew. Although the service was good, that was about all that was good. When I complained about the mashed potatoe cheese Alfredo sauce being cold, they heated it back up quickly. Also stay clear from the chicken vesuvio. Also gross.

I had the grilled basel chicken pannini with sweet potato fries and was extremely pleased. The chicken was flavorful and tender. The fries were crisp and light. Our server, Angelica, was very attentive and took care of our very well. Her recommendations were also very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and welcoming. Whenever I am in this area, Marcellos is always my first choice for fine dining at a reasonable price.

Amazing apple pie and an expansive menu - everyone in your group could find something to order. We mostly order Marcellos for delivery since we live pretty close by. We usually get pizzas, but also really like the southwest chicken salad (I recommend ordering the buffalo chicken fingers to add to the salad, delish!), and their have a lot of great entrees, like the chicken romano or chicken picatta, which both come with 2 sides!

The starter bread/ crouton like things were really tasty, but I did not enjoy my shrimp scampi. It had very little flavor and only a few shrimp. Definitely not worth $20+ for it. My boyfriend got the halibut which was pretty good. My uncle got the eggplant parmesan. The noodles were hard and not very tasty, but the eggplant part was pretty good. We got calamari for an appetizer and it was tasty.

I love Marcellos. They have terrific gluten free pizza and their vegetarian chopped salad is to die for! Im really impressed with their gluten free selection. They not only offer gluten free pizza, but pasta, salads, and desserts. They partner with the University of Chicago Celiac Center and are very aware of the seriousness of gluten free food, which is much appreciated to the celiac community!

Great option for what it is. Friendly casual service, consistent food. We always order the off menu grilled calamari and it is one of the best calamari appetizers weve found in the area. Generous chopped salads, great broasted chicken. Half price bottles of wine on some nights. Way more reasonably priced than most of the new national chains opening in the area. Whats not to like?

We loved it. We were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed the food that they ordered. The atmosphere is relaxing, there is a bar, and there is a large variety of food to choose from, which is what we were going for. And the portion size is very generous! I recommend the chicken romano, especially if you prefer healthful. I would definitely go there again.

Place was empty and I counted four servers. Our waitress was slow, cocky, and just for identity purposes had a nose ring and BAD acne. The food was awful. Dont order the Italian beef combo! It is all bread with beef jerky like substance called meat. Oh most of all the hostess does not want to hear you complain. When I spoke to her she could care less!
