Let me start by saying Im not the type of person to write reviews of places. I love Chinese food and when I moved to Crest Hill in April I spent months trying to find a decent Chinese takeout place. I finally stumbled across China Kitchen on GrubHub in November. It was delicious. Today I had a really long, stressful day at work and I just wanted some good comfort food. I picked up some dinner from here for my boyfriend and me to share. I ordered the dinner for two and chose wonton soup, beef fried rice, beef and broccoli, an egg roll and a crab Rangoon. They gave me egg drop soup, chicken fried rice, chicken and broccoli and 2 egg rolls. Normally I wouldnt care and wouldve just eaten it but its not what I paid for and I wanted what I had ordered. I called and spoke to a woman and she said she could make the correct order for me and I could come pick it up. Not an option seeing as it was their mistake....they delivered my correct order and took the first order back. The mix up of my order wouldnt have kept me from ordering from here again.....but the fact they took back food that had already been opened and picked through skeeved me out and I dont think I can ever order from here again because Ill wonder every time if my food is fresh or if its someone elses returned and unwanted food. Guess Ill be looking for a new place to order from.

Updating my previous review. Ive lived a short walk from this place for almost 5 years now. Ive tried a number of Chinese takeout places, and this is leaps and bounds the best that Ive had, not just here, but in other cities as well. Good portions, good prices and great food. What else could you ask for? I order lunch from here pretty frequently. For a take our place, I find it to be pretty good. I normally do the basics - hot and sour soup is great.

A few friends and I had take out delivered to our hotel while we are staying for a convention and the reviews made this place sound good. We got our food quickly, which is always a plus, but a few things were really off. The things that came fried were so over done that we really couldnt eat them, and my friends lo mein was more or less tasteless. I hope this is just a bad sampling of the food here and if we go to eat here again I hope for better.

not the best there is a waaaay better tasting food at chinese restaurant .... at china kitchen the noodles are too thick and not pan fried as requested and the seasame chicken tasted like bbq and the pork is flat out unedible tooo chewy and the tapioca smoothees are way too sweet. I only come back here when I am craving tapioca and this is the only place in the area that serves them!!!

The place is for pick up/delivery only, they have nowhere to eat in the restaurant. The food was decent, seems like its a better lunch place than dinner though. Really liked the Mongolian Beef. General Tsos chicken and the egg roles were average, nothing special. Well be back to try out other items on the menu.

Best Chinese food Ive ever had. Quality and quantity at an inexpensive cost. I have a sensitive stomach and tend to get sick easily from "different" foods. But not this one. Ive been going there for a few years now. Service is always great!

I had this place a few times and really really liked it. Tonight I got an order of steamed dumplings, and there was a car electrical fuse in one of them. How does this even happen? Needless to say I will not be eating there again.

Went there for 1st time and the lady was hurrying me up to order. She said " what you waiting for?" shes racist. Need better employees!. &she charged me $1 for 1 sauce!!! The food was ok but for sure not coming here again!!

Great Chinese takeout. Excellent value on the lunch and dinner specials. The special fried rice and veggie egg roles are outstanding. They also deliver (very quickly) to the Norridge area around Cumberland/I-90.

Pleasantly mediocre Chinese food. Good lunch special pricing on most of their menu items and theyll give you fried rice included. Id recommend the General Tsos Chicken.

Ive been eating here for a few months now and its pretty good. Portions are large for the price you pay. Best bang for your buck. Food is ready in about 10-15 min.
