I decided to try the new burger joint in the neighborhood. It was mid afternoon on a Sunday and the place was not crowded. Since we wanted to eat at home, we decided on take out. I ordered a typical beef burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo and mustard. My son ordered a cheese burger with just pickles and ketchup. Waited a good 10 minutes at the bar for the food. Unfortunately we didnt check our order prior to leaving. We must have received someone elses order as our order wasnt even close. No cheese on my sons, and lettuce and tomatoes. My burger didnt have the lettuce, pickles, mustard or mayo that I requested. Upon returning back to the restaurant, I informed the hostess who brought the manager out immediately. The manager stated she would remake the meal and that she would take care of it. After 10 minutes, the food was ready. Since the manager stated she checked it personally, I didnt bother to double check myself. Once home, I discovered they left the pickles off of my sandwich. I called and spoke with the manager who was very apologetic and she stated she would void the entire transaction. Well see. The burgers themselves were ok. Smaller sizes, maybe 5-6 ounces, but not too small. I seem to find that grass-fed meat, which is what they offer, has a different taste and texture, and seems a bit chewier, as these burgers were. Overall I probably wont be back. While I get that a new business always have kinks to work out, I would expect them to get it right the second time.

Came here with a friend on National Burger day for their free burgers for the 1st 100 people promotion. It was their standard burger or their vegan burger for free, ~$10 value each! My friend and I ordered the onion rings and sweet (potato) fries ($9.95) to share as well. If it werent for the promotion, I would have given 2 stars. My burger had a soggy bottom bread that wasnt appetizing at all, had to get rid of that bottom bread. The rest of the burger was just okay, nothing to write about. My friends vegan burger looked liked you could finish it off in just 4 bites. The onion rings and fries were pretty good, though for the price of $9.95 - I wouldnt have ordered these if I were paying for the burgers as well. That is pretty dang steep. I really wanted to support a local business with local products but the taste and price point has to be worth it for me, not just to support the cause. Maybe Ill be returning next year if they have the same promotion, otherwise, this would not be my go to burger place.

Walking to Guitar Center, see this place, is this relatively new? I dont recall it, but having a burger right now sure sounds good. I ordered the build your burger. I got the bison with bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onions, stone ground mustard and ketchup. They have some good beers on tap, I ordered the Revolution Wit, 20 ounces, the sizes vary from 12, 20 to 32 ounces. Also ordered the chicken fingers for an appetizer. The waiter said he was going to bring them out first before the burger, which was true, but only 1 minute before the burger, which was fine, since I did not order any fries or anything like that. The chicken crust was a touch overdone. The was moist and tender, but the breading has some scorched spots. The burger was very good, cooked to medium just like I ordered it. The bacon was crispy, not half done, I hate that on my burger. The service was good, we wanted for nothing. I will definitely go back for a good burger here

Went during the soft opening. Service was very friendly and quick. Burger options are significant with many choices for proteins (animal & plant), cheeses, toppings. Burgers were smaller than I anticipated but I think thats a good thing. My son (age 6) ordered a wild boar burger and it was a little big for him but not too crazy. I think they were about 6 oz. These are not the massive things you find other places that you regret eating later. Great selection of mostly local beers on tap you can order in different sizes. We shared the amazing smmmmmores dessert. A really great meal that not only has the advantages of being organic and more sustainable, but also come in more reasonable portion sizes.

I went here last week to check out this newly-opened restaurant and was not impressed. I ordered a "build-your-own" burger, which starts at $9 and up depending on what you add to the burger, with most burgers around $10 total. For this amount you get a meager 1/3rd (or 1/4?) pound burger with no sides. "Specialty" sauces will increase the price even further. The meat is grass fed organic beef and is very good, but the bacon I ordered on top was soggy and the French fries were nothing special. Many of the toppings are uninspired. There are much better options in Lakeview if you are looking for a $10 burger.

Best burger in Chicago! Great local sustainable meat, even bison, elk, lamb, duck, and multiple awesome homemade veggie burger options! Diverse menu, great beers, kind service, amazing decor. And outstandingly delicious! Im definitely a new regular at this treasure! (Especially given how few sustainable burger places there are here.) They even make their own pickles! (I could go on...)

This burger restaurant opened recently in our neighborhood and we decided to give it a try on a Friday evening. We liked the vibe, cool decor and thought the food was pretty good. We went for the build-your-own burgers and werent disappointed. The portion size may be a bit smaller than with other restaurants but thats actually a good thing! Well go back.

Super great burgers and food! My hangout place for drinks and a nice juicy lamb burger. This isnt a fast food place, its a sit down restaurant that offers clean meat and organic options. Im willing to pay a little more to support that and local businesses. Forget the overrated restaurants in Southport, go to Bareburger.

Hostess Saturday night was amazing!!! Quick service and very good looking and dressed very professionally. Unfortunately the food was awful, had to send food back and was not offered a drink. Prices way to high for quality of food. Only reason I would return is for the hostess!

Weve always gone to Bareburger when we go to NY and would tell them all the time that we need one in Chicago. Burgers are delicious and so are the shakes. Would LOVE if they could come up with a gluten free onion rings. Maybe one day. Im grateful they have gluten free buns.

The staff are welcoming and the ambiance feels Rustic like your own lake house in the city. Excellent burger choices right down to the bun make this a place for both foodies or the health conscious. Beer selection is a little off but wines on draught are stellar!

Great service from Ryan, the bartender. I only had a beer, but he was happy to let me try a couple of things since I wasnt familiar with a couple of the beers. My friend had a bean burger and she said it was fantastic.
