The food 5 stars. Service? FAT ZERO. I went into Epic Burger for the second time today. I went in with a friend and it was her first time. First time I went the food was great and so was the service. However, this second visit was absolutely terrible. Just completely unprofessional. The woman at the register wasnt listening to me so I had to keep repeating myself. "May I have the fresh cut fries and a skinny vanilla shake" she says "what type of fries" I lean closer and reply "Im sorry?" She raises her voice "WHAT TYPE OF FRIES?" I reply "the fresh cut. Not sweet potato" she says "what kind of shake" you get the point. She kept on yawning and wouldnt listen to me. At the end I hand her my credit card. After she charges me, she doesnt hand me my card, she throws it on the FLOOR and says "oh sorry" and smirks. I knew she didnt mean her apology. I picked it up and walked away. She made my visit regrettable and I dont plan to go back to that restaurant. What was her name? I wish I knew. For some reason not a single employee had a name tag. But I can describe what she looked like. African American, mid 20s, very tight curls, wore her hair up, 2/4 of her hair towards the ends is all blonde. Avoid getting service from her. Absolutely rude.

I heard all the hype about Epic Burger and how people were "so excited were finally getting one!" While I was out shopping for Christmas presents, I decided to hop in for a "quick" bite. Well, that wasnt the case. The place was completely packed - and when I say completely, I mean it. There was actually one line for ordering and another after you ordered, so you could get a table. They had plenty of staff working and everyone was very pleasant, but I was a little bit over waiting to sit down in a fast-food joint. I switched it "to go." I ordered an Epic Burger with cheese, fries and a drink, which came to just under $11. The burger was above average and I really enjoyed the fries. (Be mindful, this is upscale fast food and nothing like a sit-down place, like MK). They do have things down to a science though. The fact they provided three large ketchup packets - just enough to ensure every fry had a nice dollop of tomato goodness - was awesome. If youre in the mood for a quick, good burger (and maybe a shake) definitely try this out. Theres also a parking lot, which is even more awesome.

Epic B.L.T. is Y.U.M.M.Y. lol But seriously, their burgers are awesome...one of the best Ive had in a very long time especially for a semi fast-food restaurant. I also like that its located in a plaza so parking is readily available. The BLT comes with fried eggs, bacon, lettuce, cheese, lettuce, and the famous epic sauce. It was delish. I ordered the combo so it came with french fries and a drink...all for about 9 bucks. Not bad for a whole meal. Plus, the ingredients are supposed to be natural or organic which Im always down for. There arent too many seats available if you are looking to dine in but we had no problems finding seats. You order your food, they give you a number to put on the table and someone brings out your food about ten minutes later (very similar to how Corner Bakery does it). All in all, would definitely come back for the food.

Do you like to fill out questionnaires or take weird, inane personality tests online? Then youll love Epic Burger. Their menu appears very simple and straight forward but dont let that dissuade you because when you place your order you will have to answer the cashiers questions for at least 5 to 10 minutes. "Id like a burger, fries and a chocol-" "Single or double?" "Single or double what?" "The burger. Do you want 1 patty or 2?" "One is fin-" "Wheat, rye or white?" "Uh, white plea-" "Cheese?" "Sure." "What kind?" "Jesus, I dont know. Cheddar, I guess." "Toppings?" "Are you kidding? I just want a burger, some fries and a milkshake..... Lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard." "Iceberg or romaine?" "I dont care as long as its green. Can we just skip to the part where you tell me how much I owe you?" "15.92" I never got my fries.

The burgers here are good, though they are very thin. Cooked just the way I like mine, juicy, but not raw. The fries are fresh, good and hot. The ketchup on the table is organic, and I appreciate that. I would have given it 4 stars had the burgers been a little thicker. They remind me too much of Steak and Shake, where you have to order a double to get you fair share of burger. On another trip I ordered the turkey burger. I usually dont order those out, because they usually taste awful. I was pleasantly surprised how flavorful and juicy theirs was. If you enjoy good burgers, I definitely recommend them to anyone. I dont eat burgers that often, but when I do, it will probably be an Epic Burger.

The food was good but our order of two hamburgers took over 20 minutes to come out to our table. Every single table in the restaurant was very dirty and all of the ketchup and mustards were empty. Nobody was cleaning up after patrons left. At one point someone in the back room in the kitchen which was behind our table started slamming something against the wall and that went on for about 15 minutes straight. We looked at eachother in disbelief as it went on and on, SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! SLAM! We witnessed a couple walk in, get in line, look around at the state of things and the leave. Bathrooms were a basket of deplorables as well.

Ive visited all but one of the Epic Burger locations in Chicago and this location makes the tastiest burger in my opinion. The burgers are always well seasoned and the fries are almost always perfectly cooked which is exactly what you want when youre paying upwards of 10 bucks for a "value" meal. On the downside, the service can be a bit slow even when the store is not super crowded. Sometimes the servers seem a bit distracted when you answer the question, Do you need anything else?, with a yes. I visit this location when Im not pressed for time.

Was back to school shopping with my daughters. One is home from college and says "I want a real burger!" So hey theres this burger joint Epic Burger lets try it. I gotta say as far as real burgers go Epic is my new burger joint. Tried the BBQ Bacon Burger combo and loved it. The fries were good with all the ketchup we wanted; and the napkins were excellent. They didnt break just from holding them. I gave it a 4 star only because although tasty it was bit too greasy and pricey; but not so bad I would not go back. Definitely going back.

This place is great, some of the best burgers in town. Today Divvy sent me in style to their restaurants for lunch and like always they delivered. the Original Epic Burger is the best way to go, add bacon and cheese and whatever else feels your need. The french fries rock and the handmade shakes well lets just say I drank mine and then begged for my wifes. This place delivers in top notch burger with a side of casual and relaxed atmosphere. the staff was friendly and swift! There is parking here too!
