We had a mixed experience here. The inside is cute and the atmosphere is romantic and cozy. Our Saturday 7:30 reservations were apparently right after the theater crowd and just about the entire restaurant turned over. With only one true waitress the service was incredibly slow as the restaurant filled up. It took about 30 mins to get our drinks. The food itself didnt take too long after that. Later in the evening once all of the tables were settled and eating the staff was then very attentive - trying to make up for earlier. It was appreciated, but they should think about their staffing model. The food was good and scallops were the favorite of our night. The sauces were very French and a great addition to the main courses. The presentation, especially of the cheese plate, could be improved given the price range and quality. They comped our drinks at the end of the evening since we had less than stellar service, which was nice of them. In this city with a ton of great restaurants we probably wont be back, but it was worth the try.

Worst dining experience ever! I called them twenty times trying to make a reservation but they never answered their phone call. I walked in to use my Friday-Saturday groupon voucher on a Saturday but was told it cant be used at first. Then I was asked to wait like forever. I cant believe it took them soooo long to set up tables. After finally seated, the service was very slow. The food was just so so. If they dont care about Groupon customers, dont sell it. Would never go back.

Even though I made the reservation over a month ago, I was seated unfavorably between the bathroom and coat rack... It took over half an hour to get our drinks ordered, and the staff was overall unfriendly and impatient. Tables were left uncleaned for over half an hour at a time, as the staff members chatted at the bar. The food was either under- or over-cooked, and the ambiance was unpleasant. I would not return.

The food at Aquitaine is incredible! The space is beautiful and cozy, perfect for date night. The staff is attentive and friendly, and our evening could not have been more perfect. We cant wait to tell all of our friends about our new favorite dinner spot! We will be back soon!

Went there before a play at the Greenhouse Theatre. They offer half price wine bottles if you show your tickets. The food was delicious! And the service was great and very friendly. We went back for drinks after the play. Lovely restaurant that we will frequent from now on.

Great duck confit mac and cheese! The menu is French bistro, and their french onion soup did not disappoint. Also enjoyed a great cocktail with muddled strawberry and basil. The service could be improved upon, as the restaurant was only a third full.

Great food and service. Just a short walk from the Zoo and you wont regret it. Dante the server was great but I think he may need more help when the place gets very busy. I had the short rib and my wife had Duck and it was very very good.

We love Aquitaine. We go about once a month. I often get a lovely pairing of wine with what ever mouth watering dinner I have ordered. We love the quaint ambiance and the food is great. It is a great date night restaurant!!

Great addition to Lincoln Park & convenient Lincoln Ave location. Delicious pork chop & wallet friendly prices. Sadly the place was very empty at 8 PM on Saturday but filled up a bit during our meal.

Excellent value here. Valentines day four course fixed price menu was only $35. Most all bottles of wine were in the $30 range and the selection was very good.
