Up until yesterday, I have had pretty good experiences with this restaurant. But yesterday changed ALL of that. I went in to order a to-go crepe, got it, glanced in the bag... from my quick glance it looked right. It was supposed to be an apple crepe. When I got home, I opened it up and took a bite... of meat. I am a vegetarian, so this definitely surprised me. Figuring it was just mix-up, I brought my order back. I could not BELIEVE the way I was treated! I politely said my order was wrong, to which I was told no its not. No we gave you what you ordered. When I showed them the incorrect food, they claimed that was what I had ordered. I ended up having to pay AGAIN for the food I never got in the first place! This wouldnt have been so bad had the workers been kind. Instead they were rude, pushy, and seemed not to care much about me and were absolutely positive right off the bat they had done nothing wrong. I really like this place, so this really disappoints me. Unfortunately, I will no longer be a customer of the crepe bistro.

One of the worst places to eat I have ever been. First off the service was horrendous. We were the only besides two other couples and the waitress still took forever to get us the check. And even when we did get the check, it took another 10-15minutes to get someone to finally take the check and get change, our original waitress was too busy doing nothing and talking to take the check herself. The house bistro salad tasted like a back alleyway dumpster. I have had better food at the worst McDonalds than at this place. You could not pay me enough money in the world to go back to that place.

If I could rate this place a zero, I would! I ordered food for delivery (the Florentine Savory Crepe and the French Kiss Crepe). They were the worst crepes Ive ever tasted. The crepes were bland. Im not sure, but I think the chicken is that processed crap. The French Kiss dessert crepe is made with chocolate and bananas. The bananas were overripe and black in the middle -- even the chocolate tasted awful. How can anyone make chocolate taste bad??? I threw it all away -- a total waste of my money. I will never order from this place again. Absolutely horrible!!!

Decent crepes! I had the ham and cheese (with Swiss) and the crepe is a little thicker than I was used to and very filling. It was still delicious! They had a $4 whiskey special which I had and it was a great deal. Their tomato basil soup should be called garlic chowder because thats actually what it tasted like but it was still quite good just not what I was expecting. Still worth giving them a try, they had a nice neighborhood bar type feel. Be forewarned that their information online is not accurate - martinis with house liquor are now $7, not $5.

I strolled by this place one evening and decided to give it a try (I ordered to go). The coque au vine savory crepe was delicious, and the lemon dessert crepe was divine. What really blew me away about this place was the quality of their crepe batter. Ive been to more than half a dozen creperies, and Crepe Bistro by far has the best crepe batter. Fluffy, buttery, and slightly sweet, it goes well with both savory and sweet crepes. In addition to good food, the prices are decent. I highly recommend.

If going 5 days a week is the sign of a good place, then I would say I found the best one in the loop right now. I am extremely addicted. Must tries: the banana, strawberry and nutella crepe for a dessert, or the ratetouille for lunch. Service is great. Ambience is appropriate and welcoming. For a quick in and out call ahead during the lunch rush. It sometimes takes 15 minutes if you go around noon. But highly worth the wait. I recommend you check it out.

This is an awesome place. It has become one of my Chicago standards. The martinis are fantastic. The food is delicious. They play a rocking mix of 70s and 80s music. They have a really excellent house salad for $5 which is rare. The crepes are large and delicious. Good food, lightning fast service, great drinks, awesome music. Do it! Its my favorite after work drink spot. The prices are really good too. Definitely where I take my friends. So good!

Delicious!!! Assortment of dessert and savory crepes is excellent. The flavor of the crepes themselves is eggy and amazing, texture is perfect. I had the red pepper and goat cheese crepe, with spinach and goat cheese. 5 stars. My sons bananas au chocolat crepe was also very good (two sweet for me but still good). He told me afterwards that he is "most attracted to French desserts. Very friendly service.

Very inexpensive for the amount of food. For example, for $9 you get a crepe that covers a plate plus a good soup. The pictures show the feel of this location. Kind waitress with an intriguing accent, good food, good dessert, good location. I recommend. Also, we went on a Sunday. Definitely open on Sunday, though current Google hours say otherwise.

Come here all the time with co-workers! Love the $5 martini weekday special. The waitresses are very constant so you know you can get a regular so tip well! I would recommend the Rolls Royce martini if you are looking to get tipsy for cheap in the Loop! For food go for the sweet banana crepes, yummo!

This place the best crepes along with the $5 martini deals which makes it very appealing. Good martinis and great crepes. They just need to resolve the issue with the smell when you first enter the restaurant. There is this propane gas smell for some reason, other than an excellent place for lunch,

Its hard to be objective about a place youve been coming to for years. The martinis are cheap and strong, the crepes are top notch, the service is fast. The Crepe Bistro has a special place in my heart for sure. Great for lunch or dinner. If youre lucky, the accordionist will be there.

A nice casual bistro type place. We had dinner here prior to, and convenient to going to the Cadillac Palace theater. Would definitely come here again. Good crepes. and very reasonable prices. The martinis are now $6 (house liquor) but still a good deal.

Great crepe restaurant with nice ambience and very good service. Crepes are fantastic and fun to share. My sister and I split a ratatouille crêpe with a side salad and then for dessert split crepe Suzette; marvelous!
