La Petite folie is a bastion of fine dining in the otherwise acceptable but nothing to write home about cuisine of Hyde Park. Ive been to France quite a few times and right when you walk in there you feel the atmosphere of the old country. Then you look at their wine list and you know youre in a real French restaurant. They make the best omelettes in Hyde Park but their cuisine goes so far beyond that. They have a lot of game and meats that you dont generally come across in this city, all prepared in an authentically French style, and theyve figured out the rare twist for the American palate that enhances rather than dumbs down the food. Highly recommended.

The service was phenomenal from beginning to end (and afterwards). First, we arrived without a reservation and when we left, the Maitre D found us outside to tell us that she had just received a cancellation. Second, the wait staff was wonderfully attentive without being overbearing or rushing us. Finally, I left my credit card there and they were lovely about sending it to me by FedEx the following day. The food was excellent and the portions quite generous (too much?). I will definitely be back.

I had lunch there - was somewhat underwhelmed. I ordered the French sausages plate, which included an andouille and a boudin blanc, alongside some warmed potato salad. It was good, but nothing I couldnt have made at home. Perhaps Ill order differently next time. Also, it took 50 minutes to get our food out for a table of four. Not good practice for lunch.

Great french restaurant in Hyde Park. Perfect location in a cute courtyard, good atmosphere, and excellent food. The menu is always changing according to seasonal produce, so its always fresh and different. Great date restaurant if youre looking to impress!

Went here with some friends for lunch, very beautiful restaurant. Waiters were very knowledgable about the menu and the service was excellent. Food was amazing as well, friends had the fish was they said was cooked very well.

Noisy party in next room...too little portions for the prices...boring salad...dont recommend at all...overrated...weird staffer at bar ..why? No reason for bar ..just for show...not going back.

Very nice lunch, nice French cuisine (and I know a lot about it!). The decor could be a little bit modernized but eating with real silverware (in real silver) is an experience.
