Im disappointed to have to give this review. The first time I came here, it was a 5 star experience. However, the women who oversees the hostess was so completely rude and awful, it really put a damper on our afternoon. We waited over an hour and a half for a table, is it really that hard to be pleasant? She was condescending and disingenuous, really just flat out awful. However, the manager and the serving staff is amazing. The food is simple and very high quality. *sigh* I did ask for the gem salad to be chopped a little more (before I ordered, not after it came out), this turned into an unnecessary mini fiasco. The chef, I was told, was "not too keen on the idea" and refused to do it. Ive never been told that at any restaurant before. Ultimately, I will be back at some point. The food, ambiance, free valet, and serving staff are simply wonderful. But, it will not be with the same amount of enthusiasm. This is no longer my first choice for daytime restaurants.

If you want a a more unique, fancy Chicago experience, head on our to Gold Coast to 3 Arts Club Cafe. Its a very regal chic indoor garden cafe inside Restoration Hardware offering drinks, fresh juices and amazing food. 3 Arts Club Cafe has actual table seating by the fountain in the middle and a few other places sprinkled throughout the cafe. Its usually a wait to grab one of these tables, but they also offer community seating at the dozens of couches throughout the cafe. My wife and I went on a Sunday late afternoon and were seated on a spacious couch with no wait. Everything my wife and I ordered, we enjoyed. The fresh pear juice is great and not too ginger-y. The truffle grilled cheese is excellent and the fries it comes with are perfectly crisp. Wow. We ended our meal with the chocolate chip cookies and a glass of whole milk. The cookies come in threes and are perfectly warm. 3 Arts Club Cafe is a hidden gem in Chicago!

This is a very nice venue... it is absolutely beautiful!! This new cafe has crystal chandeliers above and is a very elegant setting. The glass-ceilinged interior courtyard is nicely restored and refurbished. The restaurant food is basic but is very well done. The prices are $$$ but are a very fair value. The ambiance is very relaxing and of course a retro feel. The roof top will be great in the spring, summer and fall time frame. The fact that RH Chicago is not a store but a showroom and in one of the nicest and least commercial neighborhoods in town makes it special. I would recommend this as a must see place. It is in the Gold Coast after all and so very relaxing!!!

Came here with my girlfriend for her birthday lunch. YES, its true the wait is long. It was 1&1/2 hours when I arrived at 12:30, but me & my birthday girl went shopping (Barneys & Kate Spade) while waiting for our table. A 90 minute wait is typical for the most popular restaurants in Chicago. You just plan around it :) Im writing this review because the SERVICE WAS AMAZING, everyone from the host to the servers and everyone above them and in-between were SO NICE & accommodating to the best of their ability. Thank you so much 3 Arts Club Cafe for the kind service you gave to me & the birthday girl. It was such a special day & you guys made it so much better!

I am a big fan of this place: the ambience, attentive staff, and delicious food really wowed me. I took a friend here for a birthday lunch and it was perfect. Its suitable for both groups and individual lunches and feels somewhat private since each seating space is different from the next and everyone faces different directions to maximize the beautiful views. I highly recommend the salmon board to share and the BLT sandwich to eat. It was without a doubt the yummiest BLT of my life! For celebrating birthdays, we received a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a lovely steel candelabra, with a birthday candle on top -- really cute touch! The free valet is also A+.

Fancy! High end! Looking to impress on a first date. This is the place. Love the roof top. Love the vibe. Service was ok, for the price we paid on drink and food I expect top notch service. The feel of the place made up for the lack in service from our waiter. The food came out quickly and was decent. Nothing over extravagant but also just enough to make you enjoy it and feel like you wasted money. Drinks are a bit pricey. Wait times are long in the evening but in the morning we got a section for 6 very quickly. The roof top is nice. I recommend that you stop by and grab a drink. Just not the lemonade. Its sugar and a squeeze of lemon. Gross.

The courtyard was nice but the no reservations policy meant a 45 mins to an hour wait, not bad given that you can sit on the furniture in restoration hardware. They have a small cafe that you can get coffee and pastries while you wait as well. The seating options themselves were a bit odd: either sit really low on couches and eat off of the coffee table, or be seated at a real table and eat at regular table level BUT with the distance between you and the person across from you being really wide. The food was good but the interior atmosphere is probably its biggest draw... If it were not for the courtyard, the food wouldnt draw me back

If you come here and dont Instagram something you might as well not have come here at all. In all seriousness though this place is gorgeous. I knew there was a long wait so I came at 9:45 to wait in line (this place opens at 10am) on a Saturday and my sister and I were seated immediately. The service was attentive and the interior decor was incredible. Dont eat here if youre on a budget though, because this food is on the pricier side but Id say its worth the experience. Toured the restoration hardware on the upper floors after brunch and it was everything you could imagine from a bougie-IKEA. Would definitely come back again.

A friend wanted to go to this gorgeous restaurant on the ground floor of a high-end furniture store because of the decor and let me tell you, the place is breathtaking with the chandeliers, in-door water fountain, trees, glass ceiling, and exposed brick. My friend and I got there at about 10:30 and there was already a line forming. While we waited in line, they handed out freshly made donuts, which was a very pleasant surprise. The menu isnt extensive but the RH Burger that I tried was delicious though the side of fries that came with it was overly salty and nothing special. Service was very friendly and attentive.

I wasnt sure what to expect when a friend invited me to get brunch at the Restoration Hardware. It was such a pleasant surprise. We went at 10:30AM on a Friday and were seated right away. I hear it fills quickly though so expect to wait on weekends or at lunch during the week. Of course the inside is beautiful. Comfortable seating inside the historic Three Arts Building. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I thought it was reasonably priced all things considered ($13 for a truffle grilled cheese with fries). The portions were generous, I was only able to eat half. I cant wait to go back again!
