My wife and I were on a furniture buying excursion to Arlington and I Goggled Arlington restaurants that serve a great breakfast and Main Street café popped up as one of six that served a great breakfast. Since it was located on South Cooper St close to the furniture store that was the restaurant we chose and boy, did we make the correct decision. Although their were a lot of diners in the restaurant they found us a table quickly and just as quick poured us coups of great coffee. We were both hungry as this was around 11:45 AM, and we both ordered the 2-3 egg over easy with bacon and sausage along with some of the best French toast I have ever eaten. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection. Never once did we have to ask for a refill on the coffee and the diners seated in our proximity were very friendly and shared their dining experience with us. Several of these diners have eaten at Main Street for years and said they keep coming back. I predict that we will return several times because I saw the waiter serving a customer some meatloaf that looked fantastic.

Would have given 0 stars if I could. 1st time at this establishment and I sit in a corner booth. Only to be told to move because the booth is for four people. The clincher is.... I was moved to a table that seats four to allow a family of ONLY four ( same ethnicity of owner) to sit in the booth I was moved from. Later he tries to explain that table was reserved (no sign) & the other family arrived before me (no one was in front of me when I walked in & Id been sitting at table for 5 minutes). Dont know if he was being racist or what. But what I do know is that I will NEVER return.

There is not enough Stars to rate this wonderful Mom and Pop restaurant. Five isnt enough. Everything on the menu is prepared to perfection. The price is a true value for what you get. But as good as everything is, the service is the best I have seen anywhere. They just refuse to allow your tea or coffee cup get empty. They really care about their customers. Their friendly smiles and kind words prove to all they really are the best. I wish I owned this place or the next. To bad they close early. Good news they open early.

My aunt and uncle have enjoyed this place for years , so after his funeral we unexpectedly decided to meet here to celebrate his life as a family. With no reservation or heads up the the staff got all 45+ of our orders out quick , they helped organize a very hectic group and catered us with delicious fresh meals and then desert and hot coffee. I wish I would have known about this place before , and I look forward to making the commute to try more of there delicious home style plates.

I have been going to Main Street Cafe for 40+ years! It is the best kept secret in Arlington! I love it just as much now as I did when I was a child.... Its a great atmosphere. The family that owns it, well they are just like that, Family! Very kind and prompt service. And the food, my goodness the food its awesome! Best chicken fried steak ever! But if anyone ever disagrees with all of this its fine, then I wont have to wait in line to get my grub going!

Call no answer sever different monthes different days. 3 times past 3 months Drive to Arlington and sign on front door CLosed. Either Vacation , water leak today Credit Card Wi-Fi down. Please post when you are closed so others and us are not driving 21 miles.

Overcooked eggs with fake sliced cheese to hide that the eggs were overcooked. $42 for 2 adults, 2 kids, thats with 1 adult plate that had a single waffle and 2 pieces of gross bacon. Overpriced for food that just wasnt very good, Will definitely not be back.

No matter what I get from their menu, it is always consistently delicious. Their food is very homestyle, fresh, and high quality. I love going here and on some occasions have gone a few times a week, getting different things from the menu each time.

Ive been going there for about 4 years. The food and the service is ALWAYS great! Each day has a special. Tuesdays special is beef tips over rice. The cook is VERY great! The cornbread is the best! My HIGHEST recommendation for this place!
