What a charming restaurant! The food is traditional Polish and tastes like mom is in the kitchen. The wait staff is very polite and if you want a refill in your coffee cup it seems a lovely waitress is right there the minute your cup is empty. The sausage and meats are what they cook to perfection. The dumplings and other side dishes are very good. I would only suggest that all the veggies be fresh rather than frozen or canned. Also, it would be nice to have gravies, applesauce, sour cream served in small dishes rather than tiny plastic to go type of containers. A true gem of a restaurant!

It really has a senior feel to the restaurant. I have a feeling that the folks that patronize the place have been dining there since childhood. They have a full selection of Polish fair complete the servers who provide it. The plates are huge and you WILL be taking left overs home. Im not a person who loves Polish food, but even I found some tasty items on the menu. The beet soup is addictive and I believe that it was my only craving throughout my pregnancies. It is my favorite Polish restaurant experience.

Be careful not to fill up on the bread and soup, it seems a shame to not partake in dipping the bread into the soup, and the brown grainy/fruit cakey texture one, mmmmmm, the flavors and satisfying mouth feel. They have all the familiar ethnic dishes, chairs on rollers, there was probably a sofa covered in plastic somewhere in there, its like eating at grandmas. Try it one day, youll see what I mean.

Good Polish / Eastern European food. Not as good as at Czech Plaza in Berwyn, my favorite place for that cuisine, but still very good. Their pierogi are quite good. Soups are generally good, and they usually have several to choose from. Service is decent. Its not exactly a Polish standby, but their liver and onions is the best Ive ever had.

Their dumplings are amazing. Their borsch is fantastic as well if youre a borscht addict, I get a bowl every time I go here. Many of my friends arent familiar with Eastern European food, and think Borscht tastes weird, but for me, its a family classic, and a favorite soup. The borscht here is not Ukrainian style, but it is equally as good.

Cheapest best restaurant in Chicago. My Grandma used to come here for the ethnic Lithuanian food. I was amazed at how much food comes with every order. It is good ethnic comfort food although I wasnt crazy about the duck. By far the most inexpensive sit down restaurant I have been to in Chicago. Definitely worth a visit or two.

Great place for breakfast/brunch... and obviously very popular. I had biscuits and gravy (genuine sausage gravy) and sausage which were sooo good and sooo bad for me. But then I probably wont have to eat for the rest of the day, either. Dont even go near if you are on a diet. Excellent service.

It looks like a typical family restaurant, but the staff is mostly Lithuanian. They are very friendly and the food is like home cooked European. I recommend the pierogis, potato pancakes, and kugelis. The potato pancakes are huge and not as greasy as some Ive had. I like mine a bit dry though.

I love the food, its excellent. I reserve this food every year for both of my daughters and my guests LOVE this food. the price is very good because its not so expensive. This food is great for family partys, birthdays, wedding, whatever this food is mmm mmm mmm, great.

OMG! Just like "mama i babcia" used to cook. Fantastic food. Huge portions. Great prices. Good service. Can one ask for more? I dont think so. We found this place by looking for a "Polish bite to eat" near Midway Airport. We will be sure to come back any chance we get.

Brought my FAMILY here for AUTHENTIC LITHUANIAN food. They DIDNT disappoint. Food was HOT, FRESH & WONDERFUL. Ordered kugilius, potatoe pancakes, sausage & berry blintzs. EVERYTHING was great NO complaints. We will go there evertime we go to Chicago. Thank you

Really enjoyed my meal here. The Polish food was solid. It is a no frills type of place, but the food is great and a lot and beer is cold. There is a lot of Polish being spoken at other tables, which is a good sign.
