This restaurant used to be very good, however today I went there with my family and my son got sick in their bathroom from the red snapper dinner, my food (Chile Renllos) was so cold the cheese was still a block of unmelted cheese, I had it sent back to get heated and I didnt get the heated food back for 15 mins ( by this time everyones halfway through their meal) then when I got it back, the food was overheated and the rice was hard burnt and stuck together. The shrimp cocktail tasted like ketchup and water, terrible!! I could go on and on because there were 7 of us but I dont have that kind of time, but that brings me to the next issue they automatically put a 15% gratuity tip on our bill that I had no idea about and I added even more money to the bill, i found this out on my way home while looking at the receipt. Once I realized this I called and spoke with the manager Chris,who informed me that because we were a party of 6 or more people the gratuity tip automatically gets put in, I asked him to refund the 15% gratuity tip and told him he could keep the additional $10 tip i added, he refused to do that, he said by law in Chicago they have the right to do this... I was not satisfied with the food or the service there so why should I pay $30 in a tip on a $122 bill, I think it would be fair to give a $10 tip after all we didnt ask for anything to be comped on our bill (otherwise everything would have been comped on the bill because nothing was anything to write home about) and he refused to do that he said I can come in and use the extra $10 tip money I added when I am there for my next visit there. I explained that I dont live in the area I live in Wisconsin Im here visiting my mom and took her out to dinner, the manager Chris still refused to return the 15% gratuity to my credit card however he was willing to credit the extra $10 that I added to the bill I finally settled with that because I figured I wasnt going to get anywhere with him and he asked for my credit card information over the phone so he could return the $10 to me after I gave him all the credit card information he said "once I am done with all my work i will take care of this for you" so that doesnt make me feel any better either!! He just had me give him my credit card information over the phone and wrote it all down, so now my information is sitting there in the restaurant and who knows if its secure!! Totally not happy at all with this restaurant or management!

Muy mala experiencia comer en este lugar para mi fue un asco ver como el mesero o busser fue a regresar los restos de salsa en un container en la parte de atras de las sodas, y las tortillas y tambien los chips, el mesero que nos atendio era un grosero muy mal educado es el unici de p;iel ckara por lq los otros dos son mas morenos , trate de habalar de eso con la bartender q es la mas joven de las dos pero la tipa es tan arrogante que no pude habl;ar mas con ella. Este restaurant es muy malo la comida es super super salada y la porcion de carne en los platillos es menor, no pienso regresar ya que es muy caro para eso y para el servicion tan malo al menos de este senor, y tambien vi algo super asqueroso el taquero estaba hacienda unos tacos y estaba habalndo por telefono al mismo tiempo eso aunado a lo de las salsas y los chips .... es una verdadera porqueria..... ojla y el departamento de salud vaya a revisar esto por que creo q no es justo para la salud....

Sazon regular nada especial para como te cobran el lugar es bonito y familiar el servicio no es malo pero pienso sus empleados pudieran ser mas amables y eficientes the les pides algo se les olvida no se dan sus vueltas a ver si estas bien o si ocupas algo. Mis chips estaban rancios le dije a la mesera y no solo se enojo sino que no me creyo igual me trajo otros pero mi familia se enojo conmigo ppr que me queje y despues todos escuchamos en otra mesa la misma queja y lrs dije ven no soy la unica en fin. No confundan la seriedad con el enojo y mala actitud Un poco de amabilidad y buen servicio siempre trae mejores propinas y mas clientes

Very Not Satisfied 10/09/16, 10:45p. I traveled from 79th & Ashland area to pick up my Burrito with extra cilantro. I asked the guy how much was my total he said $7.95. But when I arrived my order was $8.76, I had $8, he said OH for extra cilantro + tx. So I said I will be back, the lady started looking at me talking in Spanish & the guy started laughing. I go to car get debit card back in restaurant he tell Lady to ring me up she smacked her lip & had a smurk on her face. I asked her was there red or green sauce she said yes everything is in my bag. I go to car to taste food no red or green sauce. Im in my car to leave, then I go to drive-thru to get sauce cause. The employees working there saw me & wouldnt come to window. I did not want to get out of car, I just wanted some sauce for my burrito. I was not happy with the guest satisfaction. I will continue to go to Fred & Jacks They have better customer service

I went on a Wednesday and no it was not because of the 5$ margaritas it was 2 of my coworkers birthday and it was a convenient location to meet. When we walked in we werent even acknowledged and mind you it was 5 of us is not just a random person standing there. So we waited about 5 minutes until they noticed that we were waiting to be seated. We get seated the girls and myself order margaritas that took about 23 minutes the waiter never comeback to take our order when we placed our order the food took about 50 minutes it wasnt even hot and the waiter disappeared until we were ready to leave. The food was not great it was cold and the flavor was off the margaritas just tasted like juice. I dont recommend this place at all.

El lugar esta maravilloso tiene de todo los meseros excelente y tengo 2 amigos ke trabajan ai son hermanos uno es bartender y el lotro mesero buenos muchachos y la comida ni ke sediga puro sabor mexicano. Lo recomiendo haaa y prueben. Las margatonas estan de poca madre.;-)

This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that i purposely go to. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. The service has always been good whenever i visited and the food is really good and also not to pricey. I am a big fan of the Burrito suizo (thats probably not spelled right) they also have a bar but im not a drinker so i cant comment on the types of drinks they have... The only negative I really have is that they dont have free refills on the soft drinks but this is not a deal breaker. I would still recommend.
