Sorry to say, we gave the Golden Dragon a try given the reviews here, but from the time we entered, it smelled like mildew. As for the food, weve had better chinese food (e.g., la choy) out of a can. We had the garlic chicken and general tsos chicken. I ordered G.C. medium spicy, just to be on the safe side, and it didnt taste spicy at all. In fact, it tasted like sweet and sour + barbeque sauce. Too many rubbery canned mushrooms in the garlic chicken. Bad egg rolls, too. Too bad. The only good things about the place were the wonton soup and the fried wontons and crab rangoon (which were average). The service was friendly and fast, too.

One of my friends and I systematically tried almost every Chinese restaurant in Bloomington-Normal and after we tried this place, it was hard to move on! The service is always friendly and fast, the prices are reasonable, and the food just tastes better than other Chinese restaurants. Their egg rolls are especially amazing. Its my go-to Chinese place now.

The food was absolutely gross. Inside the crab Rangoon was hair, my husband ordered sweet and sour pork and they served it to him and the pork was still frozen. The Chicken Lo Mein was the grossest Lo Mein I have ever tried in my life. We will never come back to this place as this was far the grossest Chinese I have ever eaten.

I love there Chinese food! The owners are so very nice! I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years!!! If you like great chinese food please check them out!!! My parents moved to Florida and still wish they could get the Golden Dragon there! It does not smell like mildew either! Golden Dragon is number 1!!!

I like this place not only because of the food quality, but also because its part of the dying breed of family run restaurant. Its nice to go in here and always see the same smiling faces working hard and seeming to really enjoy the work. The prices are very good, as is the food.

Although I dont agree that they have the best eggrolls in town, the Dragon does provide a fast, inexpensive, delicious lunch option here in downtown Bloomington. Friendly staff and great service are the icing on the cake.

I am a Chinese, I must say Golden Dragon has the best Hot & Sour soup in town! Service is very fast and food is very fresh. owners are paticularly nice. it is a place you will love.
