Last night I had, by far, the greatest cupcake of my entire life. It literally. Blew. My. Mind. Normally I abhor frosting with a passion. Most places get it way too sweet. But last night? Oh my gosh. This frosting was amazing! Honestly, if the owner sold this stuff as a candy Id give up chocolate for life! The cake itself was moist all the way through. There was not a single dry spot in the entire thing. That might not seem like a huge feat for an amazing baker (which she is, by the way) but this wasnt the average sized cupcake. Last night, I was gifted The Cracken. A truly behemoth of a cupcake. This thing was in at just over a pound. A pound of absolutely deliciousness. After getting that thing I can say for certain, I will be a regular in that bakery. Seriously, that frosting!

If you have been searching for heaven, you are going to come pretty darn close when you visit Cracken Cakes and More. Her creations are so tasty that you will savor every bite. I am a certified chocoholic, but have fallen in love with her carrot cake which is pure perfection. She adds no preservatives to anything, and if you have a gluten free diet, you are in luck because along which her gluten free treats is her gluten free bread. And the warmth does not stop at her baked goods, there is plenty of seating available to enjoy your purchase on the spot with a cup of coffee or tea ~ because I know from experience it is really hard to drive home knowing whats in the bag.

My husband ordered a graduation cake for my college graduation. When he brought it home, it looked like a child had decorated it. The n looked like m, and the cake was so dense and tough that no one ate it. It was supposed to be a yellow cake, but it did look nor taste like one. The fudge filling had no chocolate taste. When my husband went to the bakery to complain, they offered 50% off our next cake. Sorry, but there will NEVER be a "next cake". This place is terrible and not worth $50.

I really love this place. Nice homey feel. Wonderful bacon grilled cheese and gluten free desserts. Im there at least once a week for lunch. The spicy tuna on gluten free bread is awesome. Have tried the tomato basil and cream of potato soup and they were both really good and best of all made from scratch. Sandwiches can be made with regular or gluten free bread.

I have a small handful of goofy food allergies. Because Dora Lee uses wholesome real ingredients, I can eat most of what she bakes! The added bonus is that what she makes tastes even more decadent than products with ingredients that read like a lab experiment! If its been baked by Dora Lee at Cracken Cakes, you can have your cake and eat it too!

This is, by far, the BEST bakery/cafe in Lake County. The price is more than fair for the quality of the baked goods you are getting. Relax in the homey atmosphere and enjoy the wonderful, made from scratch, sandwiches & soups of the day. Dont forget to bring a treat home! You wont regret your visit!

The brownies are amazing and the local bands that play there are always entertaining! Love love love the paninis, literally everything here tastes great and the atmosphere is so cozy! Dora is the cutest and friendliest shop owner youll ever meet!

I am so excited that Cracken Cakes is here in Beach Park! I am utterly in love with their grilled cheese sandwich with bacon on freshly baked bread which they make themselves in house!! I totally recommend you trying it!!!
