Terrible service. First time coming here and they were rude and racist to me! I asked for chips and salsa while I wait for my food and she states I had to purchase the free salsa because I was not dining in. I then asked can I dine in now. She stated no because I already paid her for my meal already. I said ok well I have a few minutes to kill before a meeting and she still stated even if I sit down I would have to pay $2 for the chips and salsa or order more food after I just ordered an entire meal.! Never again will I come here. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Squid ink pasta. I was just about to end my review with the sentence above. The squid ink pasta is just amazing, comes with a plethora of baby clams in shells and just made right. I wasnt hungry and I was planning on only eating a little bit, but I ended up leaving the plate clean as if it just came out of the dishwasher. The sauce isnt too heavy or too creamy, seemed just right to me. Everything tasted great and I would definitely get it again. However, it would be nice if they ordered grated Parmesan cheese or pepper when the food comes out.

Been coming here for years, always love everything. I have got a variety of things from here and you wont be disappointed with the anything. They are exceptional with there service and quality, the place is clean and I never have had any problem dining in or ordering out. If I was to make one complaint , it would be the pastor (pork) flavor isnt consistent, and the season/spice of their green and red salsa isnt either. The pico de gallo is always the same so that is good. Other wise I love this place and never go anywhere else.

Every time I come here they always get my order wrong which has been numerous times. there was this one time I had to drive a half hour to get back here because they had gotten my order wrong and when I told them this, they didnt even bother to offer a discount or any future free purchases for the incorrect order and for having to drive a half hour. They didnt seem to care about customer service. They wasted my gas and money. They couldnt get a simple order right. Terrible service as well.

BEST!!! Best best best absolute best taco salad I have ever had. Its far from typical. Its original its flavorful its FULL of meat!! The salad sits in a fried crunch bowl of deliciousness I was blown away. Should be on Chicagos best for their taco salad for sure. Ill definitely be going back as frequently as possible and I live 30 minutes away. BOOM

The only good thing about El Gallo is the hours. their open late and that is convinient, that doesnt mean that the quality of food is all their.....the steak tacos I ordered were probably as rubbery as the sole of my shoe and compliments of El Gallo I have spent the whole day in the e.r......will never set foot in this wretched place ever again!

Ordered 5 steak tacos, were extremely rubbery ( as another reviewer mentioned, I am not in the hospital though lol) undercooked, not the best meat for asada. I normally get pork Al pastor from places but I dont think ill be coming back here even though the people seemed nice. Im sure they do something good there. But not steak tacos.

I LOVE THIS PLACE THERE RICE WATER IS BEAST AND I LOVE THERE STEAK BURRITOS. The place is usally clean and has nice workers. They are authentic Mexican workers and can speak Spanish for those who only speek Spanish. They also understand english so dont worry American/English speakers.

Places sucks ass these people dont know real tacos, there all small and over priced. I made an order at 11:26am they said 20mintues and i ended up getting my food at 12:17pm. If u want real tacos go to TOWN OF CICERO all there places have GREAT tacos

When you order burrito NO VEGETABLES and get nothing but VEGETABLES. Ugggh. This place has went downhill. Ive given this place multiple chances and stressed the order and they repeated the order and still get it wrong. Every.....single....time!

I had the worst. The waitress was nasty with her attitude and acted like she did not want to wsit on me. Waited 30 minutes for a burrito that frankly sucked. I would give them props if the food was even good but it is not worth it at all.

My favorite taco place! Its almost always got a few people in it day or night, but it can be really busy at meal times, so be aware, there may be a few minutes wait. Still a great place.

Best pork tacos anywhere in the south side. Guacamole is superb. Horchata/Rice water is a great drink. They also just added TVs and a new menu, the place has really gotten a face lift
