Went to dinner 2 nights ago (sun). It was hot so they had the doors open which invited all the flying little creatures in. Dont really like swatting away bugs while trying to eat. That alone didnt make it horrible. It was quiet only 2 other parties. 1 was on the patio and 2 servers. I had the springer mt. chicken leg quarter with mashed sweet potatoes. My companion had the rib eye with bone marrow butter and the same side. I was told the rib eye was ok. Nothing more. Notjing like Little Alley in Roswell. The chicken was not worth the $16, I dont think I would pay $8 for it. The chicken was scrawny, bland and slightly undercooked. Swimming in a yellow greasy/oily river with microgreens thrown on top. Not good at all. Service???... well lets just say that u should probably bring your own drink refill or go thirsty and I only had water, lol. I had ask for my salad because he was waiting on the entire order to bring it and our server seemed all over the place except where he should be. Not impressed at all. Wont be going back.

i have been here a couple times and the first few times were good. Our last visit however was horrible. The service was bad, the waitress acted annoyed that we were even there. The food we ordered was worse. The shrimp tasted like they had been sitting out for a few days. The heads and tails were turning black like shrimp do when they are rancid. I know bc im from florida and would buy the 3.99/lb shrimp on the side of the road for fishing. These were worse than the bait i would buy which was not for human consumption.... Also ordered raw oysters... that was a mistake. They came out on a bed of salt? (not shaved ice) and were warm.... smellled like low tide. i will probably go back since i have had good experiences in the past but i will never order the shrimp or oysters again. DO NOT order seafood from here.

This place always has friendly, attentive service and has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. The food quality and beer selection is amazing, while prices are comparative to the surrounding locations. From the front door, if you go left, youll have a full restaurant with outdoor patio, all of which is non-smoking. If you go right, you will have a bar/tavern atmosphere, including an outdoor patio, with smoking allowed. Both outdoor patios have pretty decent heaters with plastic walls that can come down in the winter time to keep things comfortable. We had our work Christmas party here and they took really good care of us. Even cooking en masse was handled with skill - none of the food was wrong and it was all hot/fresh. Highly recommended.

Nice service from my waitress Sygdney. She remembered me and my friend from a prior visit, even what I ordered. The food is tasty and fresh. Last visit was the July special of BBQ Ribs & Hinequater w/ mac n cheese (little to much sour cream in it) and bakes beans. The dessert that I ordered was the Fried Peach Pie w/ vanilla bean ice cream (states candied pecans but they are plain) was good, not too sweet, even though Id prefer it to be. Todays choice was the Atkins Nachos with grilled chicken. It was good. Nice flavor. No dessert selection. Ok, I decided to get a dessert. Choice was chocolate peanut butter biscuit pudding. Nice, sweet and warm.

The best thing about this establishment is the atmosphere and location. No where near the beer selection you would think a "Tavern" would typically have, unless you consider Blue Moon a craft brew. If thats the case, then you will love this place. The food is lacking a lot of taste and originality. The spinach and artichoke dip was nothing more than ranch dip with burnt cheese on top. Neither my wife or I could stomach it, so we sent it back. We decided to stop there and grab a pizza from next door to take home for the rest of our dinner. Will not be going back.

Ive always frequented Atkins for late night drinks and grub, but after having dinner there two times recently, I can see they are much more than a late night hot spot. It was a tough decision to deviate from my go-to, the amaaaazing Cowboy Burger, but the fried chicken I ordered on Saturday was some of the best Ive had. We decided to try the chocolate-peanut butter bread pudding...and Im glad we did! Along with the delicious food, the service was fantastic and the waitress was very friendly. Well be back again...soon!

Absolutely love this place! Lived in Louisiana for 6 yrs and this place has good Cajun choices but also other good food options. Nice bar area with smoking and nice restaurant area plus patio without smoking. My favorite time to go is brunch and dinner peanut butter chocolate biscuit pudding is to die for so is the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and blackeye pea salsa. I have liked everything I have tried from there and take friends and family from out of town when they visit.

Our long-time go-to restaurant in Smyrna, their food and service is consistently good to excellent, the enclosed patio provides a great view of the Village Square during the day, and theres a working fireplace in the back dining room. You can order from their tavern menu if you dont want a big meal, and we like to go late for dessert and coffee/drinks. Our only issue is second-hand cigarette smoke in the tavern side, but its closed off and separate from the dining areas.

Horrible service when you dine in and also when trying to make a pick up order. I have eaten here several times and its always something negative ruining the experience. I have called 3 times and have been transferred to the bar each time to place a pick up order and no one picks up the phone. For a local restaurant this is ridiculous. My husband just drove over to place the order and wait.

Asa is the best bartender! He makes my signature cocktail better than I do. Restaurant section a bit more conservative than the "anything goes" bar area. Food can be hit or miss, but I really enjoy the bar. You can come as you are, and the bartenders provide entertaining conversation. Note: Smoking allowed in bar; can be extremely noisy (especially when there is a live band).

The food is definitely better than most bar food, and the service is good as well. If you dont mind rowdy, loud bar crowds youll like it. Personally I felt that the white tablecloths suggested a classier atmosphere and was a little jilted by the noise level. If you go in expecting to have dinner in a bar atmosphere though, youll be pleased. Also reasonably priced.

I came here a few time and cant speak for everything else on the menu but the fried green tomatoes, and tacos on the appetizer menu are delicious, although slightly pricey. My Jambalaya left a lot to be desired, the rice was really mushy and flavorless, wish is why I could only give this place three stars. Im open to giving this place another chance however.

Its like the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of Smyrna. They have two great patios year round (heated in the winter), a sit down restaurant, and a smoky bar. The bar is host to some of my favorite bartenders in the city. They have great live music, but I suggest you stay away if you cant handle the smoke. The food is amazing and they update their menu regularly.
