I travel Nationwide and Im a huge fan of indigenous Foods and restaurants. Ive become pretty dependent on the review system here since I found them to be so useful in my decision making when Im in an unfamiliar place looking for particular goods and services. Ive never seen a restaurant that had such reviews as African Delights, never. So of course being in the area yesterday I had to give it a try and I must say,I understand the reviews now. The place is cozy, quaint and quite simple without any big thrills in the Aesthetics area but the energy, the ambiance, the food & service is unparalleled. The reviews concerning the amount of food for the amount of money were also accurate. Though as a former business owner and entrepreneur, I wonder how theyre able to offer such serving sizes per price point. I ordered the Lamb Mafe and my 7yr old son the Curry Chicken. I couldnt finish all of my food and got the rest to go, my son because it was the first time his palate had been exposed to these flavors, didnt want the food initially so we got his to go as well. But once we got back to the hotel and I began to eat mine he joined in and we devoured it and finished off the rest this afternoon for lunch. So of course, Ill not only be returning whenever Im in town but Im also stamping this place as the Best African Restaurant in the U.S. and Ive eaten at a lot of different places sampling African/Caribbean restaurants all over the country. Not only was my dining experience awesome but my son and the lil boy there just really hit it off, calling each other brothers (not friends) and didnt want to depart when it was time to go. And I met Khadijah, one of the Most Beautiful Spirits my Souls ever encountered. So I guess I have to say, yesterday was a good day

My husband (who is Senegalese) and I have eaten here on a few occasions. My favorite dish is the Grilled Fish with onion sauce. I dont normally eat a whole plate of food, but I devour this dish every time. We had family members in town visiting and we want to expand their palate. So we headed to African Delight Restaurant. It is located in the Mammoth Shopping Center off Veterans Memorial Hwy. It is a quaint restaurant that is nicely furnished and the owners are so welcoming. We ordered a few appetizers (Samosa, Beef Patty and something else but I can not remember the name) and they were all delicious. For our entrees, we ordered Dibi (grilled lamb with onion sauce and couscous) and Curry Chicken that tasted like it came from an authentic Jamaican restaurant. This shows how much care and skill is put into making food at African Delight. We ordered Ginger Juice and Bissap (hibiscus flower) as our beverages. Everyone loved the entire meal. This is one of my husband and I favorite restaurant and we will bring other friends to experience what we experience during every visit....BLISS.

A small restaurant on Veteran Memorial Parkway in Mableton Georgia which is suburb of Atlanta offers genuine African food. Per recommendation of other reviewers I ordered Thiebu Djen [national dish of Senegal ] which was tasty, and good. The food in plate was more than I could eat for lunch. Staff is friendly, parking places abundant. Try it if you were in neighborhood.

I love the Lamb mafe its a peanut butter stew. I was bit apprehensive about getting it but my friend said if you can taste the peanut butter its not made correctly. Its a great for dish for a african first timer. Another great first timer dish is the Thiebu Yap/Guinaar. BEWARE OF THE SPICE! If its your first time get the spice ON THE SIDE!!!

African Delights is one of my favorite restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant as it has a variety of options for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant is always clean, food is fresh, and service is impeccable. I call ahead when stopping in for lunch and Im always greeted with a smile. I especially like the Okra Stew and Lamb Maffe.

I was thoroughly impressed with African Delights! Our server was incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. She was eager to help us with any questions we had about the menu. The food was quite scrumptious! I went with the small jerk chicken plate and it was more than enough food! Definitely drop by and give this place a try!

The Food I had here was excellent. I ordered the Tilapia and fried plantain To-Go. The onion sauce that comes with the fish is amazing, and the fish is well seasoned. Ive had it twice already and I will return for it a couple of times until I decide to try something else.
