Ive been coming to this establishment for years. The owner or maybe she is the manager is extremely nice. Great service when you dine in, everyone is nice from what Ive seen. However, I do not recommend for to go orders. My orders been messed up more than once, but I understand restaurants get busy, its what happens once your order is messed up. You call them and tell them whats missing or wrong, they get confused. Then your told to come back up, well no thank you I do not want to come back up to get my fajitas corrected, I just got home and their not exactly close to my home. Then your told to call back another day and they will remake free of charge. You do that and no one has no idea what youre talking about. Even though you ask the original person you logged the complaint with, are you going to leave my name up front. Do I need to call it in prior, would you like my number so a manager can call me back. All answers are oh no, youll be fine when youre ready to order your fajitas just give us a call. You call and no one has any idea what youre talking about. I was actually even told sorry were busy right now, give us your name and number and the manager will call you back today. Two days later no call back, you call them and once again confussed! I dont have time to sit on the phone all day long for some $15 fajitas or lie about something I did not get or wrong food. I will eat the cost and never frequent this establishment again.

Went here for carry out a couple months back. Took 45 minutes. Tried to cancel our order and the owner insisted we get our food at a discounted rate. (She went to kitchen and came right out with our food)..... decided to give it a shot tonight and sat on the patio. Yeah they had a 40 person party but there was nobody else there at 930 pm. Service was terrible to say the least but I could care less if my food tasted good. Girlfriends quesadilla was burnt and way too cheesy. Whats with the huge iceberg salad that came with it? My chicken salad was just that. Chicken,tomato,and lettuce. I paid 18 dollars for a bunch of lettuce. We will never be back to the location. Mesquite and LA parilla are way too good. Not to mention a fast food joint like Chipotle is not only less expensive but consistent. This place u see ed to be good a year ago. Our go to. It has fallen apart. Only 1 star because I had to.

Its very hard to write a restaurant, when the food is so delicious! My hat goes out to the chef!, But the customer service is horrible!! We had 3 Different waitresses that come over asking has someone take your order. Then we were ignored. No smiles, no one coming to the table or to ask if we were OK or if we need anything else! In the hole entire place I only saw one lady that was taking care of a big party smile at the customers! At that moment I wish she would have been our waitress I wish I wouldve asked for her name! If you are in a bad mood its not my fault I shouldnt have to pay for it! This is my first time back in over a year because of an incident. I dont remember customer service being horrible like this! I hope the one thats going to open in Hampton has better customer service.! Hampton is a small town but everybody knows each other!

We had a party of 8, which included 2 small grand kids. It took forever to get our food with no apologies. When we finally got our food a couple of the dishes werent very warm/coldish. Had to beg for drink refills. But the food was awesome. Delicious. Then the bill comes and Grandpaw with the reading glasses was covering it. (me) I looked at the bill and it just seemed excessively high $110. I took my calculator on my phone and added it up and it was $76.13 Then my son checked my math with his phone and got the same thing.... I questioned it at the cash register and they added it up and said "sorry it was a honest mistake" . I dont believe it was a mistake. I think they were trying to rip ole grand paw off for $34. No one ever said Im sorry or anything. I will never go back. If you go , add up your check to see if they got it right.

Mediocre Mexican with bad service. The price was reasonable but the chile relleno was inedible, very greasy with a mystery protein concealed inside the chile instead of cheese. The cheese enchilada had an "off taste". The salsa was just awful - likely from a jug. Nothing fresh about the food here. Location near hotels was ideal and lots of employees hanging around the bar talking loudly among themselves, not taking care of their customers. Once the food was served the waitress disappeared. About 10 minutes after finishing my meal, she reappeared with the check, waiting for me to pay it. Im lucky I didnt get sick from this place. When people write glowing reviews about bad Mexican restaurants like this, I can only conclude they dont know what good Mexican food actually is.

Horrible service. We had a large party of 9. They were able to accommodate us by seating us outside. We had to ask for more chips and salsa, they only brought us one for our large party. They never refilled our drinks. No one ever came to take our order, we had to ask for somebody to take our order (after being ignored by several waiters)The girl who came asked who our waitress was but the previous girl who had taken our drinks orders had never come back. This girl who finally took our order was very nice. It took an hour to receive our food. My order was not prepared properly. I ordered the Azteca tacos #23. There was no cheese and no avocado on my tacos, just chicken. Not a good experience at all.

It was so terrible that I paid and left after two bites and walked to Firehouse to get a sub. Started off with their "salsa" if you can call it that. It tasted like crushed tomatoes and nothing else. No spice, garlic, cilantro, nothing...just tomatoes. It would have been better used as a spaghetti sauce base. When my food arrived my guacamole was frozen, as in ice chips still inside it. The server forgot what we asked for multiple times, however she was working 6 or 7 tables at once. When I went to pay the guy asked how was my meal and I answered "terrible" and told him why. He then got an attitude and I shut him down rather quickly. Do not waste your money or time here, it is not worth it.

The food was only okay. Where El Agave completely failed was in customer service. Most of the staff spoke English poorly and didnt understand it much better. It took my wife speaking to the floor manager before she could get an empty cup to pour our daughters milk into. Three out of six orders were put in wrong. About the best I can say is that the restaurant was clean. If you have to stop near here to eat, go to the Chic-Fil-A next door. Youll have a better meal at that fast-food restaurant than El Agave.
