When this location first opened and until recently the food and customer service were outstanding!! Due to this I frequent this location 2-3 times a week. Well in the last month or so EVERYTIME I go there seems to be an issue from the product being wrong, or a product being left out, or the staff is not friendly. On todays visit once again a product was left out, the dinner roll. The young lady at the window acted like she didnt even want to be there. The gravy on my mashed potatoes was all over my other food. The chicken breast and leg I ordered looked like it had been chopped up. The ribs were so tough and chewy they were not eatable. I called back and asked to speak with the manager, Morris answered the phone and their was so much noise I could not hear what he was saying and could barely hear me.Instead of him going to a quieter area he just kept yelling, rudely this is the Manager. I told him about the roll and he said they dont give rolls anymore unless you ask (how am I supposed to know that) if a roll is not automatically included the staff should ask, would you like a roll. I told him about the meat and he said "Im sorry its cooked the same way every time". I told him about the gravy and asked why wasnt the mashed potatoes in a cup with a lid and he said "we dont use those anymore". I told him I could understand that on other items, but mashed potatoes with gravy on a to go order needed to be in a container with a lid. I could tell he wasnt interested in hearing me or that I was satisfied.

I was very happy to see Pollo tropical I just had to stop in. I order a bowl with chicken and yellow rice with all the fixings! The guy behind the counter I believe his name was quad I had first asked for half lettuce and half brown rice but then changed it to yellow rice with vegetables so without me asking if I could still indeed get lettuce he put it on there It was nice to see it all in there. The rest of the staffed seemed really nice and helpful I was a needy customer and my service was great my food was fantastic wayyyy better than chipotle I do like chipotle but I like pollo tropical style I guess Cuban better and for the guy who said no sour cream open your horizons and dont be so simple minded their garlic cilantro sauce was amazing!!! The bathrooms were clean my table and the tables around me were clean I do not live close but next time I am in the area I will definitely stop in

My order was not completed correctly. When the young lady on the register gave me my cup, she stuck her finger on the inside. She acted offended when I explained why I didnt want that cup. U didnt bother to point out that shed scratched her scalp a few seconds prior. When I took my food back because it was correct, I told the young man that he needed to wash his hands and changed gloves because hes scratched his scalp. He said, "with which hand?" I said both gloves need to be discarded. He simply pulled off one pair of gloves, took my container of food out of which I had eaten to the kitchen and added the missing black beans. Needles to say, I didnt eat the food. They are pleasant, but not big on cleanliness. The dining room was disgustingly filthy. It needed to be swept and mopped. I was very disappointed, because I love this type of cuisine, but I wont be going back.

I have visited this location 3 times since they opened. Every time was not a good experience. The first time, although the food was good, we waited for over 35 minutes for two 1/4 chicken plates. They werent that busy, however they had just opened a few weeks prior so we decided we wouldnt hold that against them & try it again. A couple months later (The second time) we used a coupon they mailed out, but the cashier didnt seem familiar with the coupon. We got our food in a pretty reasonable time, but when we got home we quickly realized we were missing quite a few sides & the brown rice was very hard. Several months went by and for some reason I tried them again today. I received the wrong side item and very hard yellow rice. The portions also seemed a lot smaller than before.

We have been there twice and they was out of yellow rice then out of white rice today no corn fritters.bee or white meat chicken even though we seen them take half chicken off the grill I no there new but Ive been to these restaurants in Buford and many times in fla. And never had this happen the staff hangs out in the dining are visiting not working I want this to get better because we love Polo tropical after someone was rude to us at the drive thru when they didnt have rice and we was trying to see what else everyone wanted we called back and I believe the ladies name was Rihana said we could have a free dinner but its not worth the hassle

If I could rate this place a zero I would. Tried them for the first time tonight. Please dont waste your money. My Dr Pepper tasted like carbonated water. I ordered the chicken avocado wrap and it had a big piece of the wrap missing. It literally looked like someone ripped off a chunk at one end. The lettuce in it was soggy and it didnt have much flavor. It looked and tasted as if someone threw it together. As a side I chose yellow rice which had even less flavor. They should be a shame and if I didnt live so far away I would haven taken it back and asked for my money! I will never eat here again!

The first time my husband and I came the restaurant was filled with flies so we walked right out. The second time we went at 11 am and this place is filthy. Dirty sink, toilet paper on the floors, and the booths had rice I guess from the night before. Fortunately the food was delicious. The citrus chicken was very tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were heavenly and the fried plantains were very good as well. Staff was courteous and friendly. I hope this place works on their cleanliness because people will rightfully assume their kitchen practices reflect what they see in front of them.

My friend and I were looking for something tasty, different from the norm and less expensive. Be. Still. My. Heart. This place was awesome. We walked in, it feels light and carefree...and the girl at the counter didnt mind us taking a while to make up our minds about what we wanted to order. You seat yourself, but they bring your delicious food to you. Our food was tastier than we even expected for the price, and they had healthy choices for the sides too! Easily one of the best things weve discovered in a long time! We will be back for more -- and we will bring our friends!

Let me start by saying I never write bad reviews but..Horrible Customer service! Waited in the drive-thru for 15 minutes behind a car whose order was messed up. Upon getting to the window cashier never greeted me or apologized for wait. Then she proceeded to ramble off several orders that werent mine. On the fourth attempt she correctly repeated my order. I handed her my debit card, she swiped my card , then asked if I had another card. I informed her I didnt. She proceeded to swipe it again, handed me my food and closed the window. I will not return!
